"We can watch two movies and even have dinner in the fort. I'll order pizza to be delivered."
"Cheese with olives and pineapple?"
"Sure."
Rose made a mental note to order a plain pepperoni pizza for her and Noah to share, but she was happy to indulge them both, especially Katie. Her grown-up side and Little side were constantly at war with all that was going on in the world, and she hadn’t seemed herself lately. Rose had been dying to do something to bring her a day of peace, fun and Little time, but with half the world closed it had taken a bit more work and inspiration than usual.
"Yay!" Katie cheered.
"Okay, the two of you, go work on getting the inside set up. Noah, you run off and get lots of pillows and any leftover blankets you can find. Also, pick out a stuffy or two that you want to join our tea party and movie night."
Noah ran off and Katie looked to Rose. "Can I get stuffies to join our tea party and movie night too?"
"Yes of course, but no more than three. There has to be room for us in that fort too, you know."
Katie sighed and looked as if Rose had just asked her which of her children she wanted to live, but she ran off in search of her three favorite stuffies.
"Don't forget to get your tea set out of the closet," Rose called after her.
