“What’s the matter, little princess? Are you uncomfortable? Tell me where and I’ll ease the pressure.”

“Youknowwhere! There’s a big…between my…you know! Don’t act like you don’t know. You probably feel where every one of your tentacles is, can’t you? The same way I’d know where my fingers were touching?”

For a moment, in my curiosity, I forget the rail I’m riding between my legs. I wonder about him, his body and how it works. I suppose it’s no different than sitting on a guy’s thigh?

Which…I’ve been known to do after a few beers. With the right guy.

I don't know if Fabien is the right guy, but I know I need him to trust me.

“Yes, I know where all of my tentacles are. And yes, they’re quite sensitive. Even more, I think, than a fingertip. I feel the tiny hairs on your skin, the soft, crinkling hairs of your armpits…and between your legs, it prickles like something sharp. Is there stubble? Is that from shaving? Like a man shaves his face, a woman shaves her—”

“Move it! Move that tentaclenow!”

My legs squinch together tight and Fabien slides the tentacle out. It’s long, and several feet of it slide through, slowly, agonizingly. He mustknowwhat he’s doing, but before I can complain, it’s done and the offending tentacle is gone.

Hearing him talk about my stubble…I don’t think I’ll stop blushing all night. My face feels like it’s going to explode from being so red.

“You keep changing colors,” he says. “I know humans are different colors, but I’ve never seen one turn so many colors as you do. Pale and red and pink sometimes. Does it help you hide?”

“No, it…oh, put me down!”

Fabien obliges.

“It means I’m embarrassed.”

“Why? Is there something wrong with your genitals? They seem normal for your kind.”

And Fabien leans down like he’s going to get a closer look. I quickly tug my soaking wet nightgown down lower and pinch my legs together. I’m stilltinglingfrom what his tentacles did to me.

My entire body is aroused in a way it never has been before. My skin is alive with electricity. I’ve had chemistry with a few guys, maybe, but nothing like this.

“It’s normal, everything is normal down there. Better than normal even. You’re lucky—or you should feel—youwouldbe lucky if you were ever, with me, you know? Oh, god. I’m going to bed. Thank you, good night.”

And without another word, I leave his room and slam the door behind me. It takes me a long moment to even realize I never got my phone.

That’s when I see Carter has returned.

“Oh,nice,” I tell him. “Where didyouescape to?”

Carter frowns sourly and holds up my phone.

“My phone! Where did you find it?”

“It was in the foyer, miss,” he drawls.

As I storm past and snatch my phone away, I detect a hint of a smirk on Carter’s face. I’m so embarrassed I could just…and Fabien didn’t even have my phone! How could I have lost it in the foyer? That doesn’t make any sense at all.

Maybe when we came in from outside?

Olivia is waiting for me when I get back. I don’t have the heart to tell her the truth so I hold up the phone and give her my hardest glare.

“Damn, girl,” she says, nodding her approval. “I’m impressed.”
