CONSTANTINE

The next morning

What a beautiful boy.

I move my hand across the bed, cupping Arlo's soft ass, tugging him close to me. Arlo is fast asleep, and his cheeks are flushed pink. A rose petal sits in his hair, and I can't help but blow it off him.

"I had so much fun last night, angel." I trail my thumb across Arlo's cheek, before planting a kiss on his chin. "You're the most precious boy in the world."

Arlo snores peacefully as he presses his ass into my body. What. An. Angel. After Arlo and I came together, I took him to the bathroom. I ran a bubble bath with toys and bubbles and soaped up every inch of his body. Arlo laughed as I scrubbed his ass cheeks, dragging the washcloth up his crack to clean him.

We played with cute alien duckies and tickled each other in the bubbles. Arlo had a cowlick, and I couldn't help but growl as I stole kisses from him. He taught me the game he and his friends played at Little Land, and we pretended an asteroid was coming to take out the alien duckies.

When I finished scrubbing him, I wrapped him in a bathrobe and brought him back to my bedroom. We rebuilt our pillow fort and crawled inside.

Nothing in this life compared to my angel. When he cuddled next to me, I died and went to heaven. He was glad we took the next step in our relationship, and thanked me for treating him kindly.

"Thank you, Daddy. You didn't hurt me once. Last night was better than I ever expected."

But that's not all. Arlo gave me a gift I'll never forget.

It happened before we went to bed. Arlo told me he bought something for me, and he blushed when I asked him what it was. He retrieved a tiny bag from the corner.

I couldn't control myself as I accepted the gift bag in my hands. What was it? I squeezed it and noted that it was plush and soft.

I took Arlo's hand in my own. "What is it, boy?"

Arlo's cheeks flushed pink. "It's an astronaut, Daddy. I picked it out at Little Land. You're my spaceman!"

"How did you take it home, boy?" I traveled with Arlo in the limousine. I didn't remember him carrying a package.

Arlo kissed me. "I stuck it in my pants. It was a risk, because you could've checked there. But you didn't."

I took the astronaut stuffy out of the gift bag. The spaceman was soft and white, with a great big helmet on his head. He held a flag in his left hand and had a name tag that read Daddy Loves Me To The Moon And Back. It was the sweetest thing ever. I pressed it to my heart and rewarded Arlo with a kiss.

"Thank you, boy. This is better than anything I could've dreamt of."

Arlo hugged me. "I'm glad you liked it. It was that or a dino stuffy. But I saved the dinos for Christian and Rowan. That's their thing."

It's amazing. Arlo doesn't simply want me to give him gifts. He takes pride in purchasing cute items for me, too.

No other partner did this for me. When you're a billionaire, it's rare that you receive a thoughtful gift from anyone who's not trying to get money.

Arlo is different. When he gives me gifts, they come from the heart. He wants nothing out of it, or, say, a limitless credit card he can buy luxury goods with. That was Carlos. Arlo loves to see me happy, and he adores the smile on my face when I receive his presents.

A man couldn't ask for more.

I dip down to steal another kiss from Arlo's downy cheek. But I've barely pressed my lips to his flesh when my phone buzzes on my bedside table.

Buzz.

"Of course." I let out a groan as I roll over and pick up my phone. "The morning after my wonderful night with Arlo and some idiot's calling me."

I wrack my brains to see who it could be. Is it my banker? My broker? My technology stocks are recovering from their dip this past week, and my account should be in good standing. I'd curse the gods if the market plunged five hundred points overnight.

My heart goes numb when I see the screen.
