“As grateful as I am to Ashlyn and Dillon for letting us stay with them, I can’t wait to come home. I miss it.”

“Yeah,” Trent answers quietly.

I lift my head and look down at him. “I know I’ve already said it, but I want to thank you again for coming after me. I didn’t realize how much I needed you until you showed up at the door.”

He tucks a piece of hair behind my ear, leaving his palm on my cheek. “I’ll always come after you, Ally. No matter where you go and no matter for what reason.”

I smile and drop a kiss on his lips. “You’re special, you know that, right?”

He grins against my lips. “Only because you’ve told me on numerous occasions.”

He slides his hand from my cheek to the back of my head, applying pressure to deepen our kiss. I release a little moan of pleasure.

“You two knock that shit off.” Andrew interrupts our moment by plopping down in the seat next to us. “You can wait until everyone leaves.”

“You wanna kick everyone out now?” Trent asks, earning a giggle from me.

I pat his cheek. “Not yet, but soon.”

Andrew grunts as he brings his beer to his lips. “You both gross me out.”

“Oh, please.” I roll my eyes. “You and Jase are so much worse. And I heard the stories about when you two first met.” I shudder. “Thank God I was too young, and you acted somewhat respectably around me.”

“Somewhat?” Andrew pretends to be offended. “I was a saint around you when you were younger. And Jase and I aren’t bad around you now.”

I snort out a laugh. “Aren’t bad? I caught you two in the bathroom not even an hour ago. I can’t imagine what I would have walked in on if I’d waited five more minutes.”

The thought turns my stomach more than food used to before I started taking nausea medicine.

Andrew shrugs. “That’s what you get for walking in without knocking.”

“It’s my freaking bathroom in my freaking house!” I argue. “And the door wasn’t closed all the way.”

Andrew laughs, finishing off his beer before dropping the empty bottle in the cup holder in his chair.

“That’s Jase’s fault. Guess he was so into what we were doing he didn’t close it all the way.”

“Next time you two decide to make out, do it in your own bathroom,” I grumble and lay my head back down on Trent’s chest. “I have no desire to see Jase’s ass ever again.”

Trent’s chest vibrates against my cheek as he chuckles. I grab his nipple through his shirt and pinch it.

“Ow! Damn, woman, what was that for?” He rubs the offended spot.

“It was in no way funny what I walked into an hour ago.”

“You would have laughed if I had been in your shoes,” he grumbles.

I think about his statement for a minute before shrugging. “Probably so.”

“So it’s okay for you to laugh at the situation, but not me?”

I rub my face in his neck. “Yep.”

“Women,” he mutters to himself. “Crazy as shit.”

I smile against his neck.

“Why do you think I prefer men over them?” Andrew speaks up. “The whole bunch of them are insane.”
