“Congratulations, Son,” he says, pulling me forward for a backslapping hug. “You couldn’t have picked a better woman to spend your life with.”
I look over at Ally, who’s being bombarded with hugs and congratulations. As if she feels my gaze on her, she looks over and our eyes meet. She blows me a kiss.
I look back at Dad. “No truer words have been spoken.”
Jase walks up and lays one hand on my shoulder and grabs my hand for a shake with the other. “Congrats, Trent.”
“Thanks.”
It takes too long for me to make it back to Ally’s side once we’ve all migrated to the tents behind the church. If it were up to me, I’d already have her back at our house. We fly out tomorrow for Carpi, Italy for our honeymoon. Unfortunately, I have to wait a few more hours before I can have her all to myself. Ally wanted a big reception with all of our family and friends after the wedding.
With that thought in mind, I manage to steal her away for a few minutes and find a hidden spot where no one can see us. I snag her hand and pull her behind a big tree. The sun is mostly set, leaving the area we’re in cast in shadows.
She laughs as she gazes up at me. “What are we doing back here?”
I wrap my arms around her waist and gently rest her against the tree, making sure my forearms meet the bark and not her back.
“It’s been too long since I’ve kissed my wife.”
I kiss the soft smile curving her lips. Lifting to her toes, she curls her arms around my neck, flattening her breasts against my chest. My cock turns to stone beneath the zipper of my slacks, and I grind it against her. Her low moans drift into my mouth.
“I can’t wait to get you alone,” I murmur against her lips.

Leaving her lips behind, I trail my mouth down the slender column of her neck. She tips her head to the side, allowing me access.
I’ve just made it to her delicious cleavage when a burst of childish laughter comes from the other side of the tree. I drop my forehead to her chest and suck in several deep breaths, reining in my need to strip her bare right here and now and have my way with her. Her fingers slide through my hair gently.
“Can we leave yet?” I ask, lifting my head.
She giggles. “Soon. I promise.”
“Not soon enough,” I grumble.
Getting to her toes, she quickly presses a kiss against my lips, then takes my hand. “Let’s go, before we’re caught making out.”
Tightening my fingers around hers, I yank her back to me. She falls against my chest with a laugh.
“Thank you,” I say quietly.
Her lips tip up. “For what?”
I tuck a loose piece of hair behind her ear. “For marrying me and making me the luckiest man to ever walk the earth.”
“You’re welcome,” she says, her eyes full of love. “And thank you for loving me and choosing me to be the woman you’ll spend the rest of your life with.
“This is the way it’s always been meant to be. You became mine the moment we met. You never stood a chance of being anyone else’s.”
I drop another kiss against her lips.
