“I can only imagine,” Jane added. Her heart skipped a beat at the mention of Austin’s name, but she did her best to shake the feeling. She didn’t want to think about him, or even hear someone mention his name. She would encounter him today, one way or the other, but she was going to do it on her own terms.

“Is there anything you need from me?” Molly asked, looking at Jane directly.

“No, everything is set. Just keep me updated on Kat’s status. I know the photographer will be here at 4 pm, and the guests will start arriving in time for the 5 pm start.”

“I’ll try my best to keep her on time,” Molly said. “You know brides,” she chuckled, making light of it.

“Yes,” Jane nodded, absolutely understanding that statement. “I’ll make sure that everything is set when she’s ready.”

“You’re such a gem, Jane,” Molly gushed. “I can’t thank you and Austin enough for all the hard work you put into this wedding. It’s been a dream to work with you.”

“I’m glad,” Jane replied as she looked at her phone, hoping Molly would get the message to get upstairs and get Kat on schedule.

“And just being able to reconnect with Austin on this one was a dream, too,” she gushed. “This wedding was meant to be in more ways than one,” she squealed. “OK, I’m off. I will stay in touch via text!”

It hurt hearing these words because, like it or not, her feelings for Austin were strong, and without wanting to admit it to anyone, she knew she had fallen in love with him sometime during the last four weeks.
