The crowd faded away. Until it was just Nick in front of her, and their five children around them.

She’d known he was hunting her, but this? She hadn’t realized he was ready for this.

At least, in all the plans she’d made for them, she hadn’t factored on him getting the jump on her. Not like this.

Her eyes met Rory and Glenna’s. Her best friends in the world.

They were holding hands, hopeful looks on their faces, too.

She looked at the kids around them. They were just watching…waiting…trusting her and Nick to make the best decision for all of them.

She knew exactly what that decision was.

But she was a mom, first. That meant she had to ask some tough questions.

“Just what are you saying to me, Nicholas Tyler?”

“I’m saying…Robin Marie Patton, will you marry me? As soon as we can possibly manage it? So we can go through the rest of our future side by side?”

She took his hand in his when he offered it. “I can’t think of anything I’d like more. But…I won’t come alone. I need to know you’ll love them, too.”

“Just as much as I love my two. I don’t come alone anymore, either. Me and Noah and Nova—we’re a packaged deal.”

“Same here.”

Robin looked at her kids again. The boys were wide-eyed now. Becky just watched—chewing on her fingers and drooling all over Noah’s shoulder. “It might take some time to make sure everyone is ok with this, Nick. We can’t rush them.”

“I can wait. As long as you say yes. And…don’t make me wait too long. Twenty years was long enough. I promise I’ll love them forever, be their dad in all ways that I can. And take care of all of you. Because I love them, too. Just as I know you love mine as well. So…marry us, and we’ll marry all of you. And we’ll be one big Tyler family together…forever.”

Damn that Nick Tyler. He always seemed to know exactly what to say. And Robin couldn’t resist him any longer. She was getting her man—he was just getting her first.

“Then yes. I will marry you. As soon as we are all ready.”

Then there was a ring on her finger, his arms were open, and she was stepping into them. Where she knew she belonged.

She kissed him, exactly as she wanted as the crowd around them cheered.

Then there were little hands tugging on both of them. She leaned back a bit, to make room for their kids. Noah handed Becky to her. Nick picked up a wildly screeching Nova who was yelling that God had given her a Robin for a new mommy. The twins were demanding to know if they could have their own rooms when they moved.

But it was Noah who she looked at next. And held her hand out toward. “You ok?”

He stepped closer. Nick put his hand on his son’s shoulder. Noah pulled in a deep breath and nodded. “Yeah, I think we will be.”

They would.

Robin was going to plan on it.

They were all right where they belonged.
