Robin laughed and threw a throw pillow at her best friend. Then she sobered. “I don’t know what I’d do without you, Aurora. Don’t you ever forget how much you matter to me and Glenna, ok? Having you in Finley Creek…well, it’s just too far away.”

“I know. But this is the hand I’ve been given. And we’ll just have to figure out how to make it work for all of us. Now, bed. The stress of forgetting my second biggest mistake ever—Keaton still takes number one, barely—almost a month ago has been keeping me up at night. I’m exhausted. I’m going to go to bed. We’ll dissect your love life in the morning.”

“And figure out what to do about yours? Who will it be…Hollywood actor, Wyoming rancher, wasn’t there a Barratt millionaire circling once back in Finley Creek? And of course, half the guys you work with at the TSP…”

“You are insane. But I love you anyway.” Rory stood.

Headed toward the guest room and was gone.

Well, that was unusual. Rory was the night owl of their little trio. She was never in bed this early. Three a.m. was more Rory’s speed.

The world really had tilted sideways since she’d returned to Masterson. No doubt about it.
