Page 94 of Not Kissing Nick

Nick was in dogged pursuit. Robin knew that as the next week progressed, right into total chaos.

She had a wedding to organize and pull off, after all.

It was Glenna’s wedding, but everyone knew Robin was the one who was the strongest in organization.

Glenna had pleaded with her to take over and help keep her sane. Robin had recruited her beautiful nieces to the task, plus several of Phil’s nephews who possessed each of the skills she wanted.

Even if it was just them acting as the set-up and take-down crew.

They’d decided on Levi and Pan’s front acreage for the wedding. It was nice and flat and large—an entire film crew had practically lived there for over four months, after all—and there was plenty of parking.

They’d considered the informally named Tyler Hall on Martin and Chandler and their brothers’ property, but Phil thought the closer Masterson Ranch would be easier for Glenna’s out-of-town guests to find. She hadn’t exactly lived in a vacuum down there in Finley Creek, after all. They had left several friends behind in Finley Creek, besides Rory.

Mel Barratt had RSVPed—and included a note that she was bringing an entire posse from W4HAV to watch Glenna marry Phil.

Apparently, Mel had thought Glenna would suit Phil perfectly.

She’d convinced the W4HAV crew to put Glenna right in Phil’s clutches. Then let nature take its inevitable course.

Robin snickered.

It had certainly worked.

She’d been so busy, between softball and baseball practices, work, homework, and prepping for the wedding, she’d had almost no time to even think about Nick.

There had definitely been no kissing Nick this week.

Other than a few quick kisses in the office when Chandler wasn’t looking, anyway. And maybe after Nick had walked her home from the ball fields both nights they’d had practices.

And maybe right before she’d left work each evening. And when she got there the next day. And when Becky was taking her nap and Chandler was out doing whatever Chandler did when he wasn’t at Tyler Trucking. And whenever Nick could sneak an embrace in.

Maybe there had been a lot of kissing Nick, actually.

Today was W-day.

Her best friend was marrying one of the two best men she had ever met in her life.

Robin had never been happier for Glenna than today.

It was time to pull it off.

She and Rory kept Glenna at Robin’s overnight. Phil and Nick had all the kids out at Phil’s ranch to give Glenna one last night with her best friends.

Like she was a young girl all over again.

Robin and Rory had teased her about the slight age difference between her and Phil.

The age difference that really wasn’t that much more than the one between Nick and Robin actually. Only a few months’ difference.

Rory provided birth control, stating that after recent events in her Masterson history, Glenna had to be careful.

Robin had considered that herself.

If she and Nick were going to be together again, she wasn’t leaving that part of things up to only him.

Glenna had so helpfully shared half the box and told Robin to use them wisely. Apparently, Robin’s cheeks had been a bit too red…they had guessed what she’d been thinking.

Robin had some serious plans of her own to make.

After the wedding, anyway.

Then…then Robin was going to get her man as well.

Twenty years had been long enough to wait to seduce Nicholas Tyler.

She was just about at her limit.
