“What about the next break?”
“If the Universal Council feels generous, they will provide food, water, and a place to rest again,” he said.
“And if they don’t want to?” There was no need to ask; I already knew the answer.
“Then we will huddle in the dark and starve.”
A chill wracked my frame, though the air remained sultry. I hadn’t thought we’d complete the first task. The notion of two more was daunting. Would we live long enough to escape this trap?
I didn’t want to think about that now. Tonight was for me and Adone, for exploring each other.
After glancing toward the pool, I shot him a grin. “I’m hungry.”
He waved to the food. “Eat some more. Drink. There is plenty.”
“No, Adone. What I mean is, I’m hungry for you.” I tugged off my shirt and shimmied out of my jeans and panties. Standing boldly before him, I batted my eyelashes. “Do you think you can satisfy my appetite?”
His eyes remained glued to my body, and he gulped. But he lifted his gaze to meet mine, and the smoldering heat there made my skin tingle. My clit throbbed, and there was nothing that would satisfy me but this guy’s touch.
I could only remain under his heated gaze for so long, because I wasn’t as bold as I pretended to be.
Turning, I raced into the water, dropping down to float. I let the liquid swish across my body.
Adone watched me like a hawk with prey as he unwound the strap holding his loincloth in place.
Then he splashed into the pool and quickly swam toward me.
