And her breathing stopped along with her heart. Suddenly her brain recalled not Candy sex but dream sex with Jonah. She crossed her legs under the table.

Claire laughed. “Not where I thought you were going.”

“Okay, ladies’ turn.” Logan’s voice still sounded distant to her, like she was in a tunnel. Lacy took another drink.

Lacy wasn’t the type of girl to land on any fuck list. Kiss or marry, yes. Logan had been right, obviously fuck Phoebe. That woman had to know tricks. Or even Claire, she definitely had the body, but Lacy. . . come on. She barely qualified next to those two. She was lucky to be on the kiss list for Logan.

“Lacy?” Logan’s voice brought her out of her stupor.

“Yeah?” She glanced down into the empty glass. Oh, that was not good. The equivalent of three shots of tequila? She lifted her gaze to Jonah. His leg brushed her and a shudder coursed through her. Was his hair as soft as the silk it looked like?

“Kiss, marry, fuck.” Claire gained her attention. “We took Drew out because Morgan would kick our asses. So that leaves us with Jonah, Logan, and Ben.”

Oh, shit, she should have known it would come to this.

“It’s just a game, Lace,” Logan said and winked at her. “Man, if I had to choose, it would be marry Ben, the guy is an accountant and that’s gotta be good for something. And kiss—”

“I don’t want to know if you’d fuck or kiss yourself. That’s just weird, man. The answer is totally obvious,” Claire straightened, gathering everyone’s attention. “Marry Ben, kiss Jonah, fuck Logan. You’ve got to pick the fuckboy to fuck.”

“Aw. Thanks, Claire.” Logan shook his head and held his hands over his heart. “My mother would be so proud.”

“You’re welcome.” Claire turned to Lacy. “So, what will it be?”

Anyway she sliced it, she’d have to put the two men at the table in one of the categories. With Ben not here, shouldn’t she put him in fuck? That would definitely be easier. But then would they just tease her on Monday that she wanted to fuck Ben? When in reality, she really didn’t. Maybe she was reading too much into this. It was just a silly game. But Jonah had said he would fuck her. Was that true?

Claire snapped her fingers. “Go with your impulse, Lacy. We all know you are a little sloshed at the moment and will completely forgive you tomorrow. So, marry?”

Logan would normally be her answer, but she wanted him to actually consider her for that position eventually. Saying it now would totally scare him away. “Ben.”

Oh, shit. Now she had to do what was necessary to keep from being a hook up which meant she couldn’t put Logan in the fuck column. She lifted her gaze to Jonah. Those heated eyes tugged at something low inside her.

“Kiss?” Claire asked. “Logan or Jonah?”

Was this game supposed to make people hyperventilate? “Logan.”

“Interesting choice.” Claire shot a look at Jonah. “Even though there’s only one choice left, fuck?”

“Jonah.” His name sounded way too breathless coming out of her mouth.

Claire made a tsking noise. “Sounds like you two are on the same page.”

“It’s just a game,” Jonah said, his voice gruff, sending a tingle racing down Lacy’s spine.

“Yeah, Claire, it’s not like I really want to marry you.” Logan stood and reached his hand to Lacy. “Drinks are gone. Time to dance.”

Lacy slipped her hand into Logan’s and wished for a rush of something but got nothing from the contact. Maybe she did want to fuck Jonah. Wouldn’t that be a trip?

“Come on, Jonah. Maybe if you’re lucky, you’ll get that kiss tonight.” Claire’s voice carried to Lacy.

Her chest tightened. She couldn’t hear if Jonah answered. Why did he pick her to fuck when Phoebe would have been easier? Of course, she should have just said marry Jonah, but that would be weird too, right? This was the worst game ever.

Logan swung her around in a circle when they reached the dance floor. As they settled in to dance, the area left by the moving bodies wasn’t that big. Lacy kept bumping into one of her coworkers every few beats.

Logan tried to dance with Lacy a few times, but Lacy couldn’t get with the beat and ended up laughing instead. Eventually Logan’s attention got pulled away by a woman wearing a mini skirt and crop top. Lacy never could have worn anything like that outside of the dressing room. Jonah would have had to barge in to even see it.

She looked over her shoulder at Jonah. He always danced nearby and guided her out of the way whenever people came crashing through.

“Looks like we may have lost Logan for the night,” Claire said with a sigh.
