“Hey, I got digits.” Claire smacked his arm as she took the seat next to him.

Jonah walked in at that particular moment. His presence raised the hairs on the back of Lacy’s neck. They hadn’t gone over what to say at work. He’d been too busy driving her out of her mind. There wasn’t really supposed to be actual evidence of them fooling around.

“Who’s the lucky guy, Hatcher?” Claire asked.

Before they even started anything, Jonah had been clear whatever was between them was only about sex. No need to complicate work over it by admitting Jonah had blown her mind this weekend.

“A guy at the club,” Lacy rushed out, definitely not a lie.

She couldn’t look at Jonah. If she did, it would be all over her face. His mouth, his hands, what he did to her yesterday. And that kiss this morning. The temptation to drag him to her bed and forget about work entirely had been strong. She wanted more. More kissing, more touching, more of him.

“Must have happened after we got separated.” Logan scratched the side of his neck. Yes, when Logan went and danced with a much easier girl. Lacy could feel the heat bubbling under her skin. She’d met Jonah a little over a week ago. Did that mean she was easy?

“I left her with Jonah.” Claire held up her hands and brought Lacy back into the conversation. She almost interrupted when Logan turned to Jonah.

“Did you see the guy that marked Lacy?” Logan asked. Everyone assumed it wasn’t Jonah.

Marked? Lacy’s face couldn’t get any redder. This was the first time anyone had discussedherlove life in years. It was pretty much the first time she’dhada love life to discuss.

Jonah poured himself coffee. He glanced at her neck. His gaze felt like a physical caress and she had to stop herself from shivering. Maybe he’d forgotten about the hickeys too. His gaze met Lacy’s for a sec before he shrugged. “It was pretty crowded in the club.”

And he’d never let her out of his sight the whole night. Always within an arm’s reach of her. She caught herself before she smiled at him like an idiot.

“Are you going to see this guy again?” Claire drank her coffee. She looked genuinely interested.

“I hope so,” Lacy said, careful not to look Jonah’s way. If Sophie hadn’t come home, would they have slept together? Or would they have had sex and gone to their separate beds? She didn’t know the protocol for just-sex relationships. Was there cuddling involved or just orgasms?

“Apparently we should all go out more often.” Logan looked at Jonah. “Except Jonah hasn’t said anything. What about it, Jonah? Did everyone get lucky this weekend?”

“A gentleman never tells.” His lips quirked up a little. Her insides twisted in a good way.

Claire laughed. “What a load of shit. Just saying that means you did. Otherwise, you would just say no.”

A gentleman did very naughty things with his mouth, with his hands, with his body. She’d lost count of the times he’d taken her over the edge. She was still a little miffed they’d been cut short because of Sophie’s arrival. Last night, she’d laid in bed and thought about crossing the hall to his room. Would he have left it unlocked for her? Was he waiting for her? She couldn’t build up the courage to make the move though. It was too fresh and she was too uncertain.

“Must have been good, if you’re not saying anything.” Logan leaned back in his chair, considering Jonah.

Jonah turned his back on the others, heading toward the door. His eyes met hers. “The best.”

Her breath caught at the heat in his eyes. She didn’t dare maintain eye contact for longer than a second, but it was almost painful to look away. Logan smirked at Jonah’s back.

Jonah walked by her and she could feel his heat even though he didn’t touch her. Her insides trembled in response. Damn. She didn’t move, afraid she’d give everything away as the door opened behind her and Jonah left. She released the breath she’d been holding.

“There you go. Everyone got lucky.” Logan tapped his mug against Claire’s. Claire glared at him playfully.

“And that’s my cue to get to work,” Lacy said.

Logan gave her a speculative look. “You definitely have to come out with us more.”

“We’ll see.” Lacy’s insides warmed slightly. Not as hot as the inferno Jonah unleashed, but it was nice. Maybe Logan was warming up to her after all.
