“How could I not be weird about it? You’re telling me that if we hadn’t had that awkward moment during spin the bottle you would have had your first kiss with one of the knuckleheads on my team? Right there in front of everybody?”
Blushing, I looked away. “So?”
A rumble of dark laughter floated over at me. “Ugh, suddenly I’m really glad about how all of that turned out.”
“You are?”
“Yeah. I’m glad I got to be your first kiss as opposed to watching it happen.”
“Well, if you hadn’t turned me down during the game you would have been my first kiss anyway. Just, you know, infrontof all those knuckleheads.”
Will’s eyes flashed with heat as he looked at me, his gaze flicking to my mouth before meeting my eyes again. “Like I said, I’m glad it turned out the way it did.”
“Hmm, I guess that kiss wasn’t so weird after all, was it?”
Reaching forward in one swift move, Will reached out and grabbed me around the waist, tickling me. I laughed and squirmed in his grasp and then gasped when he lifted me onto his lap and kissed me hard on the mouth.
Pulling back, he smoothed the hair back from my face and stared deep into my soul. “Kissing you is never weird.”
