“I wouldn’t take it back because it led us here. It led us to this place where we know what we have can survive anything life throws at us. We’ve earned it. So, finally, after holding onto this ring for three years, wondering if I’d ever get to give it to you, here I am. I love you so ridiculously much. Will you marry me?”

The tears I’d been holding back fell from my eyes as I nodded, and Zac reached forward with his free hand. He threaded his fingers through the hair at the back of my neck and drew me to him, and when our lips met, I felt every word he’d said surging through the kiss and straight to my heart.

“Dad?” Grayson whispered, causing us to spring apart.

“Yeah, bud?” Zac called, grinning at me as I wiped my tear-streaked face.

Grayson poked his head out from behind the wall. “Did she say yes?”

We laughed quietly as Zac reached for my hand. “Actually, she hasn’tsaidanything yet.”

I rolled my eyes, giving both of them a look before nodding my head. “Yes. Yes times a million.”

Grayson rushed over to us while Zac quickly slid the ring on my finger, and we caught him in a group hug. It was the happiest I’d ever remembered being in my entire life, and I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life loving these two amazing guys.

“Wait a second,” Grayson said, stiffening in our arms. “Are those my presents?”

I gaped at Zac over Grayson’s shoulders, then squealed and got out of the way of their flailing limbs as Zac started a tickle fight right there in the middle of all of the presents and wrapping paper. It looked like Christmas morning had come a little early for Grayson.

And for us, too. I felt like the gift I’d just been given was better than any I’d ever received. And I wasn’t just talking about therock. It was what it represented. Grayson, Zac, and me—a beautiful family and a hard-earned second chance.
