"You already were, long before tonight, Jolie."

I kiss him, slowly, not wanting to end it. As I pull back, his fingers thread into my hair my neck, keeping me there so he can put his forehead to mine. And that's how we are when I close my eyes.

This time I wake up before Elijah, so I figure I can make him breakfast for once. I slip out of bed and watch him for a moment. Face relaxed, lips quirking up just enough that it makes me wonder what he's dreaming about. I get one of his T-shirts from the dresser and put it on before grabbing my panties out of his pants pocket and pulling them back on.

I'm in the kitchen, moving the bacon from the frying pan to a paper towel when I hear the front door open and close. I freeze, not sure what the hell to do. If that's a robber, well, I'm screwed. If that's Louise, well, I'm even more screwed. Do I try to dash down the hallway, hoping no one sees a girl running for her freaking life? Before I can decide how to escape, Louise walks into the kitchen, eyebrows raising into her hair when she sees me. It's only the slight amusement in her eyes that makes this moment slightly less awkward.

"Breakfast then, huh?" She begins, walking further into the kitchen as if I'm not standing here half naked. "I hope you made enough for three."

I definitely did not, but two servings will be enough for three today.

"I can still taste you." Elijah's voice comes down the hallway.

"Elijah." I shout, way too loudly. "Your grandma is here."

He's just entering the kitchen as I finish talking and he stops mid step. I look out the corner of my eye, hoping he put on some clothes and breathing a sigh of relief when I see he at least has on boxer briefs. But by the way he's now covering his dick, I can imagine that my taste on his lips and him coming in search of me meant he was ready for a round two.

"Well, seems my skills at cock blocking are better than even I knew." Louise laughs, throwing her head back. "God, the look on the both of your faces."

"But you...What..." Elijah sputters. "You're supposed to be in Vegas."

She rolls her eyes. "Jane's useless husband broke his damn hip, so we had to cut our trip short. Uh, Jolie, I think your pancakes are burning, honey."

"Oh." I turn around and wonder how I didn't even smell the smoke from my pancakes going up in flames behind me.

But then again, someone's grandma catching you semi-dressed in her kitchen is a pretty good excuse.

"Alright, you two can stop standing there like mannequins. Elijah, I've changed your diapers and certainly seen more of you than I am now. And Jolie, you're more covered than you'd be at the beach, so I'm going to pretend you two are just in here making me a lovely welcome home breakfast that will be soon be brought to me in the living room. Agreed?"

"Agreed." Elijah and I say at the same time.

She walks out of the kitchen with a smirk, murmuring. "Ah, to be young again."

Only once we hear the TV turn on do either Elijah or me move. I have to put my hand over my mouth to smother my laugh. Elijah just shakes his head.

"Not funny," he murmurs.

"But definitely could have been much worse. But then again, she's your grandma, so you probably feel about one hundred times more embarrassed."

"Embarrassed that I was basically coming in here to bend you over the kitchen table? Uh, yeah."

Grandma or not, heat rushes through me at the thought of him doing just that.

"Don't give me that look." He groans. "You're just making it worse."

"Well apparently, we have a new batch of pancakes to make, and some more bacon. So, let's get to it."

Elijah goes back to the room to throw on more clothes while I make new pancake batter, and then I go and put my dress back on while he makes more bacon. He brings his grandma her plate, and he and I eat together at the table.

"So when is our next date?" I ask.

"You have next weekend off, right?" At my nod, he continues. "Saturday then. Anywhere you want to particularly go?"

"You always pick good places. I'll leave it up to you." I lean forward. "Then we have a date with your backseat, so all this can be avoided."

He chuckles. "I like that plan. In more ways than one."

I sigh. "I have to go. I go to work much earlier today."
