"Anything you want for your big day?" my grandma asks.
I wrap my arm around her shoulders. "Just some time with you."
"Oh, I see we're in smooth talker mode." She laughs.
I go into the bathroom and undress to shower. The evidence of me and Jolie being together is still on me, and I'm a little disappointed I have to wash it off. I eat the plate of food my grandma left out for me and then while I'm watching a movie, my phone rings. I smile when I see it's Jolie.
"All done with work?" I answer.
"Yes. But I was sitting behind the counter realizing I'd forgotten to tell you something when you were here."
"Oh yeah? What?"
"That I missed you. So, so very much these last few days."
"I missed you too. I don't think I've ever looked at my phone quite as much."
She laughs, and I savor the sound.
"So I thought maybe we could make up for the lost time, being that I am on spring break starting today. Just the way you wanted to spend my spring break."
I sit up straighter. "We should start tonight then, huh?"
"I was hoping you would say that. I'm outside your house."
I hurry to stand from my bed. "Well you're not in my room, so you're still too far."
By the time I reach the front door, Jolie is standing there, smiling at me when I open it. I grab her to me and kiss her while shutting the door.
"I love you," she says. "We have to say that everywhere we haven't already now."
"Deal. Let's go say it in my bedroom." I nip her lip. "Then I'll make you moan some other things."
"Promise, promises." She giggles as we rush down the hall.
