"Oh, did I forget to tell you that my girls and I went zip-lining in Vegas, from the rooftops of the buildings?" She smirks.

"Um yeah. You might have left that out. Alright, you guys ready?"

They both nod, and we take off towards the ticket booth. Jolie forces me to allow her to pay for the tickets, and then we're on our way towards something called the Serpent. We get on every ride at least twice before the carnival begins closing down for the night. We stop to get some of the last funnel cakes being made before we leave. I can't help but laugh when I look over as we reach the car and see powdered sugar covering the front of Jolie’s shirt.

"What?" she asks, grinning. "You don't think I can pull it off?"

"You can pull off anything," I answer.

"And you better enjoy it too," My grandma adds. "You get to my age and you gotta start worrying about holding things up and tucking things in. Aging sucks."

"Tell you what." I put my arm around her. "Your next birthday, we'll celebrate it like you're just turning sixty-two again, so that way you stop aging."

"I like that idea. Should have thought of it about ten years ago though."

The ride home is quiet, my grandma quickly falling asleep in the backseat. Jolie reaches over and links our hands, not needing to say a word for me to know she's as happy in this moment as I am. When we get to the house, my grandma quickly takes off her shoes, and tosses her purse onto the couch.

"I am worn out," she says, walking closer to me. Her hand comes to my cheek. "Did you enjoy your birthday?"

"I did. Thank you."

She smiles and pats my cheek once before saying goodnight to Jolie and I and going upstairs. We go to my bedroom, and I begin taking off my shirt.

"Did you really enjoy it?" Jolie asks. "I wasn't sure if you would have just preferred to stick to what you guys usually do."

I let the bottom of my shirt drop back down and walk over to her, bringing my hands to the sides of her face.

"I loved it. Thank you, for all of it. It was amazing."

She smiles, her relief clear. "Okay. I'm dating such an older man now, I needed to make sure it wasn't all too much excitement for him."

I gasp. "Wow. Gonna hit me with the age jokes already?"

She tilts her head. "I better have my fun now before the back and hip problems kick in."

I go to grab her, and she runs towards the bed. I'm quick to follow, climbing onto the bed right after her and flipping her over to her back. I pin her hands down to the sheets.

"What were you saying about old now? You can't even outrun me?"

"Maybe I wanted to be caught." She grins, legging wrapping around my waist in an instant and pulling me closer to her.

I bring my head down to meet her lips. Our kiss is full of want, need, and desire. I grind into Jolie, wishing like hell my pants would disappear without me having to do the work to get them off right now. She moans into my mouth before breaking the kiss.

"I say we start a little birthday tradition of our own," she says huskily.

"What's that?" I ask, backing up so I can kiss her neck and collarbone.

"I think we should end our birthdays doing the same thing we did to start them."

I still, memories of how Jolie woke me up flashing through my mind, making me, somehow, impossibly harder. My eyes snap to hers and find her waiting for my answer with a sexy smirk.

"I like that idea entirely too much."

"What are you waiting for then?" she asks.

She doesn't need to ask again.

I'm awoken by the ringing of my phone on the nightstand. Groaning at having to detangle myself from Jolie, I turn over and pick it up to see who's calling. My eyebrows furrow when I see it's Denise. Getting out of bed as quietly as I can, I go into the hallway and pick up the call so I won't wake Jolie.
