The twins walk in a few minutes later, hands on their hips as they stare at the shenanigans. “Hey now, we told y’all after you ate we would come wake up mommy. Sorry Isla, Odin went to get dressed and I had to run to the bathroom. I was gone for less than five minutes and they were gone. Little turds are fast,” Orin explains, walking over and scooping Arden up after leaning down to kiss me. “By the way… Good morning, beautiful.”

“Good morning, to you too, handsome. Could y’all possibly take the little monsters so me and my overnight company can get dressed? I swear if y’all had been five minutes sooner, we would have all needed more therapy,” I tell them, nodding towards the door.

Odin walks over to the bathroom door, opening it and peaking around the corner while Orin ushers the kids out. Once Orin shuts the door, his twin pushes open the bathroom door. When he tilts his head to the side, I walk over to see what he’s looking at.

I burst out laughing at the scene. “Did y’all seriously take a shower together?”

Callum opens the glass shower with a shrug. “Well, we knew you would want one too, and we didn’t want to use all the hot water. Besides, Orin and I have to leave in twenty minutes, and we have been up close and personal with each other's junk a lot the last couple months. So hush.”

They both get out, leaving the water running so I can hop in. I have my eyes closed, head leaned back to wash the shampoo out of my hair when I hear the bathroom door open again. A couple seconds later, a mouth latches on to my nipple and I moan as my knees buckle.

Whoever it is catches me then chuckles. “Good morning, Wildflower.”

I open my eyes to a grinning Silas. “Good morning, love. Have the other guys left yet?”

He pulls me out of the water a little so he can rub some conditioner into my locks. “Nope, they are finishing getting ready and telling the kids goodbye. The boys demanded Bodie make them cinnamon apple pancakes, and he told them he would but only if they helped. Vivi wanted to go play with her tea sets, so she’s in the playroom.”

I sigh happily, as he massages my scalp and rinses my hair. “I can’t tell you how amazing it is to have so much help with the kids, and having so many people that genuinely love them.”

His arms drop to his sides. “I actually do know how that feels, Wildflower. I never really explained to you how my home life was. Thankfully I had an amazing mother, however my father was a lot like your ex-husband. Unlike Corin, my dad beat all of us. He didn’t care who it was. Whichever one of us was closer was who he would take his anger out on.”

“Was it just you and your mom?” I ask, cuddling closer to him under the warm spray.

He sighs, and I can see the pain in his eyes clearly. “I have 4 siblings–two brothers and two sisters, but I’m the oldest. My father refused to let my mom get on birth control and he didn’t care enough to get fixed. He was on disability, so the more kids he had, the more money he could claim on welfare.

“He didn’t even care how hard each pregnancy was on her, or about the health issues it caused. She was pregnant with her sixth child when I was thirteen. I had woken up for some reason in the middle of the night, and had a feeling that I needed to check on her.

“She was almost thirty weeks pregnant, but I found her dead, tied down in the bed. She had gone into preterm labor. My dad wouldn’t call for help, or take her to the hospital. He had tied her down and put something in her mouth so she couldn’t call for help. She bled to death just trying to bring a new life into the world. Laying in a puddle of blood on the sheets was my newest little sister.

“She was so tiny. I picked her up and noticed her chest moving. She was still breathing but just barely, so I ran to the neighbor’s house and beat on the door until the old man opened it. When he saw me holding the baby, he immediately called 911 and ran over to see if he could save my mom while I waited in his living room. He was an old combat medic, but there was nothing he could do… she was already gone.

“We were all taken to the hospital to be checked out and the nurses let me name my sister. I chose Willow Faith since my mom’s favorite tree was the weeping willow. They let us all stay in one room for a couple days while they tried to find a home for all of us, and the nurses would sneak me into the NICU to see the baby. She was too sick though, from going too long without having enough oxygen. They brought her to the room we were all in and let me hold her as she passed. They buried her in the same coffin as my mom.” He has tears running down his face, but he takes a deep breath and continues.

“After their funeral we were all separated into different homes, and since no one wanted a fourteen year old boy with PTSD, I went to a group home. My siblings were a lot younger, but at the time I never knew why they separated us, until they did a DNA test because the bloodwork from the hospital showed all different blood types.

“Willow and I were his only biological children. Rosaline who was eight, and Britton who was seven, both had the same father, while Annaleigh and Tucker had the same dad. They all got to go to their biological families, since that was a legal option for them. My father went to prison where he was murdered ten years ago. Apparently, he had been making my mom sell herself to pay for his drug habit.”

I’m speechless at everything he has just told me and I know nothing I say will make a difference. So I simply hug him until he stops crying.

“I’m so sorry you had to go through that, baby.” I kiss his chest, and we just stand there for a moment while he collects himself. He bends down to kiss me, and I lean in, groaning at how good he makes me feel, just as the bathroom door opens with a bang.

“Sorry to interrupt, but we wanted to kiss you goodbye,” Odin says, waking into the bathroom followed by his twin and Callum. They all lean into the shower and kiss me goodbye one at a time. I guess Callum can tell Silas is upset, because he kisses him too.

As the trio turns to leave, I call out, “Bye guys! Love you!” My eyes immediately get huge as the words tumble out of me, completely unplanned. “Umm I’m sorry! It slipped out.”

Before I can put my foot further in my mouth, three “I love you’s!” answer back.

“So, do you just love those three or does that include me too?” Silas asks huskily.

I lean into his mouth and give him a sweet kiss, trying to pick up where we left off before they came in. “I love all of you. As I’m sure you know, I never thought I’d find love again after my ex, but instead I found five amazing men that love not only me, but my children as well. I can’t believe I’ve gotten so lucky.”

He smiles and wraps his arms around me, grabbing a handful of my ass. “We are the lucky ones, Wildflower. Unfortunately for us right now, as much as I want to fuck you till you scream, we have three kids that are waiting on us.”

We finish washing up, get dressed, and head to the kitchen to find Bodie and the kids. It’s absolutely no surprise that Bodie has not only fixed a huge breakfast, but is currently packing a huge lunch bag of allergen free snacks for me and the kids. He tends to go a little overboard, but I love him all the more for his thoughtfulness.

After breakfast we all load up in my SUV, heading to the Halloween superstore first to get our costumes. Over the last few weeks–and with much discussion–we decided to all do matching costumes so we all pick our Pokémon characters. Successfully finding everyone a costume we head to Hobby Lobby next. I never got to decorate our house when Corin was alive, not even a Christmas tree. I was only ever allowed to do birthday parties because his family could ‘show off’ with unnecessary and expensive gifts just to prove they had the ‘best’ of everything.

Needless to say I go slightly crazy in the craft store, but Bodie reminds me that I’m not only–in his words, “rich as fuck” but also living in a “huge ass house”--so I don’t feel as bad about the amount I buy, practically filling the trunk. Then we head to the pumpkin patch, which is a lot bigger than I expected. They have corn mazes, tractor rides, rope swings into a hay pit, a jungle gym, and so much more. The kids start bouncing off the wall from excitement the moment we pull up.
