“Well, we have until tomorrow, then we’ll leave.” I pressed a kiss to Monique’s forehead. “But where do we go? Home? Or shall we take the scenic route?”
I glanced down at my mate, whose eyebrows shot up.
“You’re asking me?” she said.
I chuckled, loving her shocked response. “Of course.”
She snuggled into my chest. “I just want to travel further than the forest. Anywhere with you guys is fine by me.”
I wrapped my arms around my mate and lifted my gaze to meet Kyle’s.
He looked as much in love as I felt, and that gave me an idea.
“Shall we take you back to bed then?” I said to her.
When she blinked up at me, I gathered her against my chest and stood up.
She clung to my neck and stared up at me. “But I’m not tired.”
“Oh... I think you are.” I grinned.
Her cheeks flushed pink.
“Aren’t you?” I pushed.
“Hmm. I think I might be,” she murmured, a secret little smile lifting up the corners of her mouth.
I shot a triumphant look at Kyle.
He grinned back at me.
I marched our mate toward the bedroom. It was time to make her ours.
