And my inability to stop wanting him near me.

After the second goal,I started to worry about Maverick.

For someone who loathed the sport of ice hockey, I somehow found a balance between taking pictures at Chelsea’s wedding all the while sneaking on my phone to check on the game.

TheApple Catswere not playing well at all.

More so - Maverick kept giving up goals.

Because next time I checked it was three to zero.

That was right about the time the actual wedding ceremony was to begin.

I had taken hundreds of pictures of the bridal party, and the groom and groomsmen.

I then snuck around and did my best to be invisible.

My mind raced with all the angles I wanted to capture for Chelsea.

But I did not want to be in the way at all.

The ceremony was beautiful.

It turned out to be a clear, blue-sky kind of day.

The entire backdrop of the wedding was cascading hills of vines.

It was a simple ceremony yet it had a touch of tradition and elegance.

Plus some laughter too.

When the flower girl got to the end of the aisle, there were still flower petals in her basket. She looked around a little nervous and then dumped the basket out and shrugged her shoulders.

The ring bearer cut off the best man and demanded to stand first since he had rings on a pillow.

John reached down and rubbed his hand along the then messy hair of the ring bearer.

Everyone reveled in the moment.

Then came the bride.

The moment so romantic, it actually got to me a little.

So much so that I looked at my phone again just to see Maverick’s name.

That’s when I saw he had given up his fourth goalandwas pulled from the game.

I cringed and wanted to text him so bad.

But I had to focus on the wedding.

I still had a long day ahead of me.

I didn’t want to think about it, but there were still probably ten hours to go on the day.

Things were far from done.

This was the biggest gig I had ever gotten.
