‘I’ll definitely still want to tell you to get lost.’
‘Your call,’ he said. ‘I’ll have to live with it.’
She tapped her stiletto heel on the tile floor. ‘Where should we go?’
It couldn’t be far. She had to return in time to catch the bridal bouquet and put an end to her bad luck once and for all. Her bungalow was close by. It was nice and quiet and well suited for conversation, but there was no way they were ending up there tonight.
‘Come with me,’ he said. ‘I know a place.’
