At first, he didn’t understand who I was talking about. Then his face changed, and he shook his head slowly. “That is not your place. How dare you presume to tell us how to run the ship.”

He came to me, and cupped my chin. “Why would you cause trouble for yourself. I like you, we fit well,” he said with a smirk. “Stop causing so much turmoil. We’ve been trying to help you and all you seem is ungrateful.”

“I was just trying to save him,” I said, choking on a sob.

“It’s over, let it go.”

I had never seen a more disappointed look than the one that crossed Xagon’s face. He sighed and looked over at Azil. “I have news.”

“What is it?”

“We are approaching Wayde, we’ll be there in an hour.”

He looked at me and smiled. “Well, isn’t that perfect timing. Get the men ready.”
