I probably look like a creep right now.

But I don’t care. I feel like I’ve won the lottery. She’s all mine, especially now that I’ve claimed her. Verbally and physically. I want to beat on my chest and roar. This girl is all mine, and it will take a while to realize that.

I can’t even stop staring at her. We’re sitting on the couch, watching TV and talking. I watch her as she bites her nails and prays that Kayla chooses Wyatt on some dating show. But...I can’t stop staring at the beauty thatisLeia. She catches me staring and plays with her nails nervously.

“You’re staring again.”

But she doesn’t faze me...because I still stare at her.

“Do you even know how beautiful you are?”

She’s blushing. There’s a slight pink tint on her cheeks that only barely contrasts with her almond skin.

“Are you gonnaalwaysstare at me and call me beautiful?”

Such a silly question. She already knows the answer to this.

“Yes. Because I live for it. Hell, Ithriveon it, baby. Looking at you is my new favorite thing to do. You’re gorgeously stunning, baby.” I can’t even comprehend what I’m saying because it’s coming out like wildfire.

I love looking at her.

I love talking to her.

I love being near her.

Everything about her...I just love.

“Well, I wouldn’t go that far.”

I hate when she does this. She always brushes off what I say. I’ve been trying to see where that stems from, but it’s going to take a while before I can.

“I would,” I reassure her.

She looks at me for a couple of seconds before turning back to the TV. I just continue staring at her because I can’t help it. And I don’t know if I want to.

Time almost got away from us. I’d organized a dinner reservation at a steakhouse downtown, but we almost missed them since I was so focused on staring at her.

Get yourself under control, Larson. You’ll have plenty of time to stare at her after dinner.

Maybe I’m being a freak, but eventhatseems too long.

I’m downstairs in thirty minutes after showering, throwing on my cologne, and putting on one of the suits I bought downtown. I wanted to wait for her upstairs, but she kept complaining about a man being in her “female realm” of getting dressed. I chuckled when she referred to the bathroom as that.

I’m reading through a brochure when I hear a familiar voice shouting. I look up and see Hunter jogging from around a corner. I almost call out to him to see what’s up, until I see an even more familiar blonde walk up to him.

The same blonde that approached me on my second day here.

The same blonde whose brother my team will be competing against next week.

And the same blonde that’s kissing my teammate.

My heart speed picks up because what. The. Hell. Did he and Taya break up?

He pulls back from her, smiling. A smile I would like to wipe off his face. I’m staring at him like a bad car accident. What the hell is going on? He must feel me staring at them because his gaze finds mine, and he looks immediately guilty. I give him a ‘What the fuck, dude?’ look.

They both look in my direction, Milena waving at me, and Hunter says something to her before walking toward me. Leia will be down in about five minutes, so I need to defuse this in less than that.

“Dude, what the hell?”
