“We don’t have them because her boyfriend and his family took them from us!”
Bella was angry and exacerbated. She didn’t want to fight with her sister. She thought they were on the same page with the same mission, but clearly, they weren’t. She, too, plopped down on the couch across from Bianca. They avoided looking at each other for a few moments.
“So, what do you suggest we do? We can’t just let her go, Bianca. She’ll tell, and they’ll kill us anyway.”
Bella raised the question, but Bianca didn’t have an answer. All she had were questions and worry.
She was quiet for a long while before finally responding.
“If we kill her, that will hurt him, but hurting him is not the goal, or is it? Yes, it will hurt Zander if we hurt or kill her, but if we kill him, and his family finds out? It’s us.”
Bella heard her sister’s concerns. She shared them to a certain degree. But her resolve ran much deeper. Her eyes narrowed as she refocused on the mission at hand.
“We need to lure him here and kill him. That’s the only way I will be satisfied. No, let me take that back,” she said. “We need to lure him here, torture and kill that skank bitch in front of him, and then kill him. Then, I’ll be satisfied.”
“And when his family comes for us? Because, Bella, they will come,” Bianca cautioned.
This time when Bella spoke, she looked directly at her sister. “If I die getting revenge for the Di’Carlo name, for my name, then I die.”
