“That’s beautiful, Zsanine. I’m happy you found that kind of love,” her mother replied.

“Thank you, mom,” Zsanine said. “I’m glad I did, too.”

“So, when am I going to meet Mr. Wonderful, the man that’s making my daughter so happy. “

“Soon, very soon.”

Epilogue

She got the call.

She was apprised of the targets.

She immediately went into action.

Jessica, as the only female lead in Elite Security, was the perfect person to execute the job. Zander knew she would do her due diligence and study the subject’s movement and plans. Get into their lives while remaining unobtrusive and undetected. Jessica understood the assignment. She knew the importance, and she had no intention of letting Zander or the Don down. Their subjects were on high alert. Considering what they had done, it made sense. They were afraid, and that made them easy targets.

The Di’Carlo women stayed close to home. They’d wronged the wrong family again and committed egregious offenses that they knew put them in the St. Clair’s crosshairs again. What they didn’t know was when, where or how revenge would be delivered, yet, they knew it was coming. Righteous retribution is what they deserved, all because Bella couldn’t keep Zander’s dick out of her mouth.

“I’m going stir crazy in here,” Bella fussed as she often did, dissatisfied with everything because she realized she controlled nothing.

“It’s your fault it has to be like this,” Alessa mumbled, still shell-shocked from her most recent encounter with the St. Clair’s.

“No, it's Bianca’s damn fault,” Bella clapped back, still unwilling to take ownership of her failings. “If she hadn’t punked out and told Gianna what was going on, they wouldn’t have come to the house. You wouldn’t have been tortured,” Bella continued. “Don’t blame me for the shit that happened to you.”

“You still don’t see it, do you, Bella?” Bianca asked. The four sisters sat around the dining room table huddled together because that was the only time they felt somewhat safe, even in their own house. But it was a false sense of safety because they didn’t fully trust each other anymore. That trust had been breached, but those who breached it failed to take responsibility for their failings.

“See what?” Bella snapped. “That you’re a pussy? That you’re weak? That you have no fuckin’ backbone? Huh, Bianca? Is that what I don’t see?”

“That’s enough,” Gianna interjected. “Shut up, shut up, shut up!”

Bella opened her mouth to say more, but Gianna leveled such a heated gaze in her direction that the youngest Di’Carlo sister had no choice but to shut her mouth. It was uncommon for Gianna to ever go there, to display any kind of anger that all her sisters took note.

“You underestimated the outcome of the dumb fuck decision you made to poke the goddamn bear, Bella. They had left us alone for the most part, but you couldn’t leave it alone, could you? That man played you, and you couldn’t get over it,” Gianna argued, her voice still elevated past normal. “Bianca, you’re equally complicit. Sure, after Bella had already fucked up, you decided to come clean, but it was too late then. Had you told me of her ignorant ass plan prior to, maybe we wouldn’t find ourselves scared in our own home again! Wasn’t the first time enough? When they came in here and killed our brothers, wasn’t that enough for you?”

The questions were rhetorical, and neither sister dared answer them. But an answer did come.

“It should have been.”

Every eye at the table turned toward the unexpected voice. But it wasn’t just the voice, they quickly realized. During their high-pitched argument, invaders entered their home.

“I’m sure you have questions. Where are the guards? Who are you? Why are you here?” Jessica ebbed.

Gianna looked around the room, looking for a way to survive, but there were ten of them against four. The odds didn’t look good. But she had to do something.

“Aht, aht, aht,” Jessica interjected even though no words had been spoken. “Whatever you’re thinking, stop.”

“Who are you? Why are you in our fuckin’ house?” Bella yelled.

Jessica smirked and took a few steps in the youngest Di’Carlo’s direction.

“You must be Bella,” Jessica smiled.

“Who the fuck are you?” Bella quipped, still seemingly unable to recognize danger when she saw it.

Jessica walked a little closer, erasing all the space that had existed between them.

“Who am I?” Jessica repeated. “A reminder of who not to fuck with.”
