Before the staff berates me for straddling my new fiancé’s lap, I reluctantly slide from his embrace and plop back in my chair, feeling light as air.

“Well, that settles it. You’re officially my fiancée. Now, on to other things.” He winks at me before holding up two books. “Which one?”

Laughing, still in shock over the proposal, I shake my head and blindly decide on the one with the hunky dude on the front.

“Okay, Mr. Beefcake for my lovely fiancée, and the half-naked, sexy couple for me.” He tosses the paperback into my lap and lounges in his chair, opening the book. And just like that, my fairytale came alive. I can’t believe this happened, but in a way, I can. He’s right. We’ve certainly done things on our own timeline, and it fits us.

Content, I lean back and watch him. The way he plays with his bottom lip as he scans the page, the little micro-expressions flitting across his face—all fascinate me. He’s insanely gorgeous sitting here in a bookstore, reading romance novels with me, not at all bored like Kellen was. Even if he didn’t enjoy them, he’d still sit here patiently with me and not complain. Greyson’s a stinking saint in a backward ball cap and a pair of ripped jeans. The juiciest combination.

Grey glances up over his book, that dazzling smile on his face and panty-melting dimple appearing. “Everything okay?”

“Everything’s perfect.”

“Good. Now get to reading. I’m at a great part. They put sex in the first chapter, and I want to take notes for later.”

Oh. Now, I hear the cherubs sing.
