suggested Adalynn was living with a woman and things

weren’t platonic, she was pretty sure Adalynn’s many

followers wouldn’t like that.

“Well, for other reasons, then. My father basically disowned

me. He said he didn’t care enough to come find me. I’d like to

keep it that way. I don’t want to give him the chance to ever

know where I am.”

Adalynn bit down on her bottom lip and frowned. She was

concerned, but she didn’t say anything. The thoughts stayed

burning in her eyes, though, and Cassia had to add another

reason.

“What if someone saw it in Vegas and recognized me? I

don’t want to think it’s beyond the realm of possibility. That

would be bad. I’m sure they’d say I was a former escort and

now I’m here. It just seems like a mess waiting to happen. I

don’t think everyone subscribes to the ‘do what you can

because you have to survive’ theory.” She could tell Adalynn

didn’t like that by the way her nostrils flared.

“I do editing almost every single day to keep up. If you

want, I could show you how I do some of it. I could even teach

you more. You could do some of the filming and editing. That

would really help me out.”

Cassia was floored. That equipment was probably

expensive. She wasn’t sure she’d let anyone touch it if it

Adalynn ate like she was starving and like the eggs weren’t
