Which was why he drank so much. He didn't know what she wanted. He only hoped because of his gut feeling, she wanted more than one night. He couldn't go through this again. He needed more than that. Wanted more with her.

"Can you believe that?" she asked.

Shit.

He didn't have a clue what he believed anymore. But she seemed desperate for an answer.

Pull yourself together, asshole.

He mentally slapped himself.

It did nothing.

"No," he said hoping to God that was the right answer.

"And over spring break. I'll never get it done in time. Or at least done in enough time to pass."

Oh, right. She's complaining about school.

Yeah, Professor Poopface.

I got this.

"You'll do fine," he said with such clarity he surprised himself. "Sucks you have to skip spring break though."

Wait.

Had she said that?

He searched his memory but found nothing more than a black hole where his brain used to be.

"I have to," she said.

Nailed it.

"I've worked my ass off in that class. If I drop the ball now all that work will have been for nothing."

"And it's such a nice ass.” Isaac smacked his palm on her right butt cheek grabbing a handful of firm yet supple flesh.

Blondie yipped and threw her leg over his hip tugging him closer with her heel dug into the small of his back. "Why'd you have to get so drunk?" She breathed against his lips.

"I'm notthatdrunk." Squeezing the handful of her rear he pulled her closer bringing their centers together.

Her breath shuddered with the moan in her throat. "Fuck me.”

"I'm trying." He grinned and rolled his length against her.

She giggled again. From her belly, so it shook her whole body including her mound pressed firmly against his shaft.

A light flipped on in his head. One second she shook with laughter at his side. The next, she panted—pinned under him as his drunken haze cleared, replaced with a white-hot wanting.

"Still think I'm too drunk?"

Her cleavage stretched the low cut neck of her tank top with every breath. Begging him to bury his face between her breasts.

"That's the thing about moments of clarity," she said. "They only last a moment. And I hate to think that's all the time you need."

Isaac collapsed onto his side again.
