If her brain hadn't completely abandoned her, she might have been embarrassed by how she looked, writhing on the floor whimpering with every sweat-inducing wave of pleasure her fingers drew out of her. The only thing she could think about, if it could have been called thinking at all, was Isaac's face and what it looked like watching her come.

She didn't have to wonder long. As her body calmed, her eyelids parted just enough to see Isaac's massive, ripped body hovering over her. His hands braced on the floor on either side of her head. His knees, straddling her legs after they'd gone stiff and straight in the final seconds of the storm that raged inside her. His face… Oh, God, his eyes. Where she'd seen something she couldn't quite place just minutes ago, she now saw something else. Something that might have frightened her if she didn't believe him to be harmless.

Animal. Alpha.

Beast.

"Fucking hell, Blondie."

"What?"

"What do you mean, what? Fucking hell that was hot."

Katie breathed deeply—easily—relieved she hadn't weirded him out.

"Have you… done that before?” He breathed heavily looking down between them. “You know… for anyone else?"

Katie shook her head rolling her lips between her teeth to keep from smiling so he didn't think she was making fun of him for stumbling over the question.

A satisfied grin reignited the beast behind Isaac's eyes. "Nice."

An age passed staring into those beastly eyes before he rolled onto one elbow and sunk down laying on the floor beside her. One hand lying flat on her stomach. One leg draped over both of her thighs. And a hard-as-ever cock pressed to her hip.

"Do you need help with that?" Katie shifted her hip. His dick twitched in response.

"Relax, Blondie. After all that, he's going to be good to go for quite a while."

Katie turned toward him. Isaac's hand slid around her waist, rested on the small of her back as she nuzzled her nose and cheek against his chest. "You're calling me Blondie again."

"You earned it."

Katie tilted her head back to look him in the eye. "You were punishing me."

"I was."

"But you're not anymore."

"How could I? After everything you've done for me. After…" Isaac slid his hand down over her rear, cupped one cheek in his palm. "This."

Katie lay her hand on his cheek already prickly with new growth. Every time a question about the days ahead crept into her head, Katie pushed them aside letting his gaze drink her in. Holding her in the here and now.

Isaac trailed his hand up her side. "You thirsty?" Tracing a line, the callused tip of his index finger tripped over the chapped skin of her lower lip. "I'll be right back."

Katie nodded and Isaac stood. My God, he was a magnificent creature. She couldn't take her eyes off his naked backside. Watching every muscle in his back, butt, and legs working together to move him across the room.

A hot pulse between Katie's legs stole her breath after he pulled on his shorts but left his briefs behind. "You forget something?"

Isaac kept walking. "Just didn't see the point when they're coming right off again when I get back."

Oh, yes.

Chapter 30

Isaac stopped at the bottom of the stairs and leaned on the curling end of the oak banister. It had been easy to ignore everything wrong with what they were doing while they were doing it—when they were together. Now apart, even with as little as a flight of stairs between them, he worried she'd remember why she'd avoided this for so long and climb out the window before he got back.

Stop it.

Things had changed. She'd said so herself, she didn't want the week to end.
