Katie opened the door to the building, led him to the professor's office where he'd cleared a space and set up a nice flat-pack desk for Katie in the corner beside the door.

Isaac set the box on the desk.

"This is going to be so great." Katie slid her hand along the edge of the desk. "It will look amazing on my resume. And with his letter of recommendation, I'll have my pick of jobs at the end of the year."

"I'm so proud of you, Blondie. You're going to do great."

She turned facing him again from the other side of the desk. "And what about you? Are you sure about this? In less than three weeks I'm going to be a pain in the ass again. Complaining and freaking out about not having enough time to do anything. A lot has changed and I love you with all my heart but I'm still me."

Isaac made his way around the desk. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he pulled her tightly against him. Katie reached up putting her arms over his shoulders locking her hands behind his neck.

Overcome by the heat of her body against him, Isaac reached down, cupped her rear in his hands hiking her up and setting her on the desk. Her eyes drifted to the open the door. Isaac reached over and pushed it shut. "You're still you, Blondie." He leaned in claiming her mouth with his own.

Katie arched into him. A moan rumbled in her throat as she plunged her hand into his jeans and gripped his length.

This was the woman he’d fallen in love with. The woman who had the confidence to go after what she wanted. Whenever and wherever she wanted it. Making it easy for him to admit, "I've never been so sure of anything in my life."

"That makes two of us."
