“Let’s get married,” I blurt, and she freezes.
“Rexley, no that's absurd. A baby is one thing, but marriage? Yeah, way too soon.”

I am so late today.Rex left earlier and never set my alarm. I asked him why, and he said I needed the sleep. Ugh, he is the most infuriating man, but I love him. His controlling ass and all. I can’t believe I agreed to have this baby and marry him. I must be as crazy as he is.
I reach my locker and quickly put my backpack inside. Someone comes up beside me, and I give Rex a big smile, but it’s not him. It’s Kelly.
“Well if it isn’t the little teen mom wannabee. Are you going to start a reality show too,” she sneers, bringing attention to me. I gasp and hold my still flat stomach. How does she know? I haven't told anyone yet. Not even Nicole.
Kelly laughs and everyone else who heard does, too. The whispers start, and I need to get out of here. I rush down the hall to the library, hiding in the back by the restricted section. No one comes this way, and I know it will give me a moment of peace.

I’m snackingon a poptart when Lorna and Nick find me. Lorna pulls me into a hug, and Nick steals the rest of my treat. I grumble, and he gives me that ‘butter won’t melt’ smile.
“So I hear congratulations are in order,” Nick starts, and I wince, before starting to cry.
“Oh honey,” he coos, pulling me onto his shoulder. I cry harder. He glances at Lorna, and she nods.
“Let’s get out of here. I could use a burger.” I snort through my sniffles.
“It’s nine in the morning,” I mumble, and she shrugs.
“Dennys is twenty-four hours.” My stomach growls, and she gives me a smile. Nick pulls his phone out.
“Rex is handling some stuff, but he said he would meet us later.” I nod and let them help me up. Lorna hands me a makeup wipe and her mirror. I give her a grateful smile and clean my face up.

“I don’t wantthis baby, Nick. Does that make me an awful person? I told Rex last night I would marry him and have this baby… but now.” He looks at me over his milkshake and shakes his head.
“Good luck trying to convince Rex of that. I have never seen him so excited for anything. He really loves you, Cat, and this baby.” I wipe my eyes and nod.
