I quickly pull my hand away as if the touch burned me.This is wrong, I tell myself and push myself off the bed before I can touch him inappropriately again.

They probably let me sleep in the same room as them to make me feel protected. I can’t take advantage of their kindness and maul them in their sleep.

“I’m such a pervert,” I groan under my breath, moving toward the door.

My body feels strange as I walk out into the corridor. My muscles feel sore and heavy despite a good night’s sleep.

I think of last night and the man who forced me into submission.

My finger brushes over my lips. The skin is chapped and broken. I was forced to bite down and make myself bleed to resist his compulsion. My muscles must’ve felt the strain as well.

My skin crawls every time I imagine Callahan’s hands roving over my body.

I’ve never been more desperate in my life for a shower. Heading upstairs, I hurry inside my bathroom below the attic.

My fingers struggle with the zip on the back but I don’t give up until I’ve pulled the gorgeous gown off me. Next, I get the clips and pins out of my hair.

Moving closer to the mirror, I stare at my naked body.

My pale face is covered in dried, caked-up blood. Disgust rises inside me as I remember the way the waiter’s head exploded just inches away from my face.

I rake my nails over my cheeks, uncaring if I’m leaving scratch marks behind. It’s only when I reach lower, closer to my chin, that I see the remnants of something white.

What’s this?I question myself, leaning toward the mirror to take a closer look.

It takes a second longer to realize what it is.

The tangled bodies I woke up to this morning explain the particular white remnant on my skin. It’s dried off semen.

Pure heat chases away the disgust I’d been feeling. Just knowing that their essences marked me makes my core throb hard with need.

Closing my eyes, I think of Julian and Damon. At once, a feeling of safety steals through me.

I’m home now. The thought registers firmly in my mind. Just knowing they’re inside the house makes me feel protected.

Feeling slightly better, I proceed to take off my jewelry.

Walking inside the shower stall, I turn on the knob. Hot, steamy water gushes down on me from the wide overhead spout.

My body revels in the heat.

I use a copious amount of soap and shampoo to rinse off every inch of my body. There’s a desperation inside me that leads me to scrub my skin until it turns red. I want to forget the cold, slimy touch of Callahan’s hands on my body.

After the shower, I grab a bathrobe and walk out.

Since no one else uses the bathroom on this floor, I can come back later to take care of the gown and other jewelry I’ve left behind.

A smile comes to my lips the moment I walk into the attic. The familiar corners feel like home now.

My stomach rumbles. I barely got the chance to enjoy all the amazing food at the party last night.

“What a waste,” I moan, heading to the cupboard that contains my clothes.

My hair still hangs loose and wet. Ignoring it, I choose a pair of jeans and a thick pullover. Next, I grab a can of de-scenter and liberally spray it all over my body.

After dressing up, I head back to Julian’s room to check on him and Damon. If they’re awake, I’d make breakfast for all of us.

Reaching the room, I push the door open and suddenly, a blast of heavy perfume hits my nose.
