To my surprise, both Raiden and Damon nod, agreeing with him.

“And you,” says Damon, fixing me with a hot glare. “Make us some bacon. Asshole.”

My eyebrows rise high. What’s gotten into all of them? Why are they treating me like I just kicked a puppy? I only told the Collins girl to scram.

Julian huffs and takes the two pieces of French toast that Iris had dropped onto a dish. He takes his time to add whipped cream, syrup, and fruit over it before walking out of the kitchen.

“What’s gotten into him?” I mutter, sitting down at the table and grabbing Raiden’s coffee mug.

“Hey, Iris made that for me,” Raiden says, snatching his mug out of my hand.

“For fuck’s sake!”

“You could’ve just let her hang out here,” Damon says with a grim look on his face.

I stare at him. “She wasn’t annoying you?”

He matches my gaze. “No.”

“Damon likes her,” Raiden chirps, grinning like a maniac. “Do you understand that, you big doofus? He’s in lurve.”

Damon’s lips curl into a grin. “Am I the only one?”

Raiden shrugs. “Fine. I like her too.”

I stare between my brothers, unable to believe the things they’re saying so casually. From the conversation I had with Julian a couple of nights ago, I know he feels the same too.

Is Iris Collins a witch in disguise? Is that the reason her parents left her behind so she could torture me this way?

A sharp pain flares on my left knee. Damon’s kicked me in retaliation.

“The fuck?” I hiss, massaging my knee.

“Where’s my bacon?”

“Get it yourself,” I bark.

He glares at me like I’m the biggest asshole on the planet and stands up. Raiden gives me the stink eye and walks away with him.

“Dad’s going to be here in an hour!” I shout as they both walk toward the doorway. “Be presentable.”

Damon flips me the bird without bothering to turn around.

I look around the kitchen, realizing there’s no food left for me. The table is littered with dirty dishes and cutlery. With everyone gone, it’d have to be me who cleans up the mess.

Frustration and annoyance clash inside me.Maybe itwasa mistake to send her away, I realize with a twinge.

I still don’t know how to be around Iris. She’s a mere stranger who’s captured my mate’s heart. Not just him, I correct myself. She’s even got Raiden and Damon interested in her.

I hear footsteps approaching the kitchen.

Julian walks in and comes to sit at the table. He picks up his mug and starts sipping his coffee quietly.

I can tell he’s simmering, just waiting to explode.

Before he can start lashing out at me, I quickly grab the cereal box.

Julian quietly watches me add the cereal to a bowl of milk. He waits until I bring my breakfast to the table and take a seat.
