Only me and only you, and only our three kids …”

I bit back a grin as Sebastian listened to my singing, and recognition dawned on his features. Suddenly, he yanked his headphones off and ran for the door, grabbing it and throwing it open. The other producer glanced at him and then me as Sebastian tossed the door of my room open.

“Are you serious right now?” he asked as he across the room and two steps flat, picking me up. “This can’t be a joke because I told you in the mountains, I was going to put a baby in you. I wasn’t kidding then, and I’m not kidding now. So, you better not be kidding.” He sounded frantic as he tried to suss out the truth from me. I laughed as I wrapped my arms around his neck and nodded.

“Yes, it’s serious. I am not kidding. I took the test this morning.” Sebastian let out a crow of delight as he swung me around the small room, knocking over the microphone. He didn’t even stop to pick it up as he twirled me around and around. I gripped the front of his shirt as I groaned.

“Easy there, I might not have morning sickness yet, but that’s about to make me sick.”

He laughed and shook his head. “Sorry, I’m just so excited.

I lifted my eyebrow. “You’d think you weren’t already a dad.”

He shrugged. “I love my kids. I love kids, but I also love the idea of having a baby with you and making us a family.”

I smiled and kissed him again, quickly deepening it as our hands moved along, exploring with the ease and familiarity we’d grown into over the last three months. The other producer cleared his throat from the sound box.

“This is a lovely moment, and I don’t want to interrupt it, but I want to be sure we’re not keeping that last take because it’s—no offense, Bexley—not great.”

I laughed, glancing over at him. “No. We’re not keeping it; it’s not that good. I did it on the fly because I wanted to surprise him.”

I kissed Bastian’s nose as he grinned at me. “Well, it worked. I’m surprised, I’m thrilled, and I’m so fucking excited.”

I smiled. “Me too.”

The third party of our little group interrupted once more. “I am also very excited for you guys, so I’m gonna go take a break so as not to intrude on this moment.” He pulled his headphones off and made his way out of the sound booth, leaving Bastian and me alone.

His lips met mine once more as I thread my fingers through his hair, tightening my grip. “If we weren’t completely exposed right now, I would fuck you,” I whispered with a smile.

Bastian looked over at the empty sound booth and back at me. “Well, we’re not exactly exposed right now, are we?” His smirk told me everything as he backed me against the wall, pinning me in place.

This moment was reminiscent of the airplane bathroom, which I’m pretty sure was when I got pregnant. I counted back from ovulation and my last period, putting the airplane in place of when I would’ve been fertile. Not that it surprised me. We had a history of altitude playing an important role in our relationship.

All I could wonder was where are we heading next because I couldn’t wait to get there.
