“So, is this place like it seems in the movie?” he asked as he looked at me.

“Do you mean are we gyrating against each other every night, drunk on watermelon punch and listening to forbidden music?” I laughed, giving him a wink.

He chuckled and shrugged. “I don’t know. I never did anything like this, so—”

I shook my head. “No, it’s not at all. Sure, I formed friendships with other people working here. Some of them are seasonal like me, but for the most part, it’s just another job with the perks of living there too. So, I guess I save on the housing costs, though they take a portion of our paycheck. What kind of jobs did you work when you were younger?” I asked.

“You don’t want to know.” He shook his head, and a deep pink blush settled on his cheeks.

“Oh, now you have to tell me.” He nudged me with his elbow, jostling me playfully.

“I thought you said you knew everything about me, having read all the articles I’ve been interviewed for.”

I laughed, shaking my head. “You and I know you’ve never talked about stuff like that.”

“This is true. And for good reason.”

I shook my head again. “Now you have to tell me. You’re building it up, so I will be very disappointed if it’s not perfect.”

The grin that split his face turned my entire body into a gigantic knot. More than ever, the urge to ask him to sneak into my cabin and stay the night exploded inside me.

“When I first got to LA,” he said, his voice dropping as if there might be a reporter hiding in the bushes around us, waiting to catch a scoop for the rags, “I took a job as a birthday party clown. But not just any clown—”

Unable to stop myself, I snorted. Probably not the most encouraging thing to get him to finish the story, but here I was picturing him with a bright red nose and blue eyebrows.

“—I was a magician clown. I had no car, and public transportation is the worst, so here I was biking with one crate holding a white rabbit and another holding a dove. My backpack overflowing with a stream of endless scarves behind me. It was an absolute nightmare.”

I cracked up laughing. “And here I thought you were gonna tell me you did Batman in front of Mann’s Chinese Theatre,” I said through a bout of giggles. “I’m not letting you off the hook now. I need to see a routine.”

Bastian vigorously shook his head. “Oh no, I don’t remember a single trick.” We walked between the cabins of the other staff members, heading toward mine. I glanced at him, lifting an eyebrow in question.

“I don’t believe that for one second. I’m certain you have more tricks up your sleeve than you’re willing to share.” As I spoke, there was a heavy sexual suggestion in the air, and he stopped again, his eyes flicking around.

“Which one is yours?” He asked, his voice suddenly deep and husky. The timbre made heat flood through my body and pool between my legs. “I’ll show you a trick or two.”

Chapter9

Bastian

She liftedher hand to point to a cabin two doors down from us when my mouth collided with hers. Sweeping one hand under her ass, I lifted her and guided her body to fold around mine.

As I carried her toward the cabin, all thoughts left my mind. I was no longer worried if her coworker saw us. It was just her and I.

“Please, Bastian, tell me you’re about to show me a magic trick on my body.” The orange cabin light filtered between us, illuminating the smirk on my face. I pressed closer to her, letting her feel how much I wanted her as I pressed her back flat against the cabin wall.

“I need to see it,” she whispered breathlessly.

The shadows of the night hid us from view, emboldening me as my mouth seared along her skin. I made my way from her lips, down her neck to her breasts, sucking a tight nipple through the fabric. She groaned and arched into me for more as my teeth scratched along the taut peak. Just as quickly as I offered her the sensation, it was gone. I pulled back and looked at her with a Cheshire Cat grin on my face.

“Ready for this magic trick?” She reached out and threaded her fingers through my hair as her nails scraped along my scalp deliciously.

“The last twenty-four hours have been magic, but I’m ready to see you turn some tricks.” I grinned and kissed her nipple again before making my way down her belly, still covered by the satin dress. I settled on my knees in front of her as her fingers stroked through my hair, and, as always, she obsessively yanked it free from its hair tie and used her grip to hold it back.

Kissing both kneecaps, I peppered kisses up her thigh. I disappeared under the folds of her skirt, the fabric enclosing me next to her sweet-smelling pussy. Stroking my nose along it, I inhaled her delicious scent.

I couldn’t wait to see if she tasted as good as my nose thought she did. I walked my fingers up the back of her thighs, dipping my fingers underneath the lace hem of her panties before slowly peeling them down. Catching the fabric in my mouth, I sucked the soaked triangle, not letting a single drop of her juices go to waste.

She was mine, and everything she had to offer belonged to me.
