I reach up on my tiptoes and give him a heated kiss. It’s not slow and sensual. It’s not angry or aggressive. But a fast burn kiss that takes you from zero to one hundred and the next thing I know Matteo has his dick deep inside me. We don’t have time for anything than a hard, fast fuck, but it’s enough to satiate us both because we come at the same time, with our lips still locked passionately a few minutes later.

“Okay, now let’s go into the city! I wanna see everything.” I smile and give him one more kiss, clean myself off real fast and go to get ready.

New York cityis nothing short of spectacular. It’s everything I ever imagined it was. We had breakfast at Tiffany’s, well brunch but still. Matteo took me to see the Statue of Liberty and then we went to The National September 11 Memorial and Museum.

We walked hand in hand through Central Park and got our portrait drawn, then went back through in a horse drawn carriage. I ate at a hot dog truck, a falafel truck, and an entire food truck designed to make all my dessert dreams come true. We each tried a Chik’n’Cone and shared another dessert from Serendipity’s.

I got serenaded on the Subway, much to the dismay of Matteo, and I was proposed to by the Hulk in Times Square. The only thing missing is a night out on Broadway, but that’ll have to wait because I’m really missing Ren. Today all of my NYC dreams came true thanks to Matteo and now he’s putting his feelings toward his brother aside to give me peace of mind.

We walk into a quaint little Italian restaurant and Matteo moves us straight to the back. Everyone in the place stops and stares at us and it’s beginning to feel a little too cliché. The Mob boss having a meeting at his own private table at a “family” establishment. Yada yada yada. Blech, I wish we weren’t eating here.

“Mi amore!” Ren sees me and hugs me so tight; I can barely breathe. I accept it because he’s okay. He’s alive and well. I release a sigh of relief and send a silent thank you to whatever god is looking out for him.

“Matteo.” Ren offers a polite nod to his brother and they both clasp my hands before they move us to the table.

“Ren, no offense, but doesn’t this restaurant feel like too obvious a place to meet up?”

“What do you mean, mia bella?”

“Well, you know. Italian mafia boss. Back table. Spaghetti. I feel like I’m staring in a cheesy mob movie.” I cringe, realizing I sound like an idiot.

When all I get are two deep sets of laughter echoed back at me, I get the feeling they think I’m joking, so we’ll roll with that instead. At least they’re getting along.

“So, how’s work?” I ask, not expecting much detail.

“Work has been a mess. On top of having everyone out looking for Lorenzo, my right hand man, Piero got shot.”

“Oh my god, is he alive?”

“Yeah, he’s fine. It was a superficial injury at best. I don’t take kindly to my people getting hurt though, especially Piero. He’s practically family. So, I took care of it.”

“You took care of what?”

“I took out everyone involved.”

“How many?”

“Twenty-four.”

“You took on twenty-four men? By yourself? Are you insane?!”

“Damn bro, that’s fucking badass. Even I can admit that.” Matteo nods his approval and I shift my glare between brothers.

“That’s not badass. That’s suicide. What the hell is wrong with you?” I’m so furious, I don’t even realize I’m yelling until I feel a small hand on my shoulder.

“Oh, I’m quite angry as well, but maybe let’s keep family matters away from our family table. Hmm?” The woman touching me damn near gets her head bit off, until I turn my fury on her only to immediately stare in shock. It’s completely rude, I’m aware of that, but I can’t help it when I look into the emerald green eyes of the twins’ mother.

I pull myself together long enough to look at Matteo, making sure he’s okay first and foremost. Other than the tightening around his eyes and noticing the tightening of his hand on mine, he gives nothing else.

Arianna on the other hand, can barely hold back the tears in her eyes as she gets a good look at her youngest boy.

“Uh, yes. I guess I should make the introductions then. Mamma this is Alessandra and Matteo. Everyone, this is my mother, Arianna Gavino. And just to clarify, I didn’t take on all of those men at once. I was smart.”

His mother and I scoff and roll our eyes at the same time, which somehow breaks the tension, causing everyone to laugh. Even Matteo.

“It’s nice to finally meet you.” ‘Teo says.
