“Years?” I whispered. “Since we were kids?”

He pressed his lips to mine and pushed me back onto the bed. Then crawled between my legs, pressing his cock against my entrance. He grazed his teeth against the side of my neck, his breath warm.

“Tell me you’ll always be mine.”

I curled my hand into his soft hair. “I’ll always be yours,” I said, pulling him closer.

Blaise plunged himself into me, his thick cock filling up my pussy. I dug my nails into his back, the pressure almost too much to handle. He pumped in and out of me slowly, gently sucking on my neck. Pleasure surged through my body, and I curled my toes.

He had barely been inside me for a whole two minutes, but I was on the brink of exploding with pure ecstasy again. I curled my fingers into his shoulders as he slipped a hand between my legs, rubbing my swollen clit.

My chest heaved up and down. “Please come inside me,” I begged, whimpering into his ear. “Please, I need it so badly. It’ll make me—”

He slammed himself into me hard one last time and grunted deeply against my neck. I clamped down on his dick and moaned into his ear, my whole body trembling against the bed.

ChapterSixty

VERA

Since Blaise’s parents were home, we opted for a quiet night—at least, besides the steamy fuck we’d had. I sat on his bed next to him and pulled the laptop he’d gifted me out of my backpack. I needed to write. I didn’t know what I wanted to write about, but after today, I really needed something.

So, I opened my Google Docs and found the story that I had been writing about Blaise and me. I didn’t want him to see it, so I turned the brightness on the laptop all the way down until the screen was nearly black.

Angsty pop punk music played from a speaker on Blaise’s desk as I wrote. He sat next to me with his back against a wall and his laptop in his lap. When I glanced over, he was scrolling through hundreds of skateboarding videos for his YouTube channel.

Today, while trying to distract myself from the rumors floating around Redwood about him, I had started snooping more on his channel and reading through the comments under his videos. While there were so many people who loved his content and commented about how it’d helped them, there were also some E-girls who …simpedover him.

Like hard-core.

Their profile pictures were picture-fucking-perfect. And I had felt so many insecurities that I had to completely log out of YouTube this morning. He would never really respond to any one of the desperate comments, but still, I might’ve been a little jealous.

Blaise was mine.

I glanced over at him again, insecurities still nipping at my insides, especially since Skylar’s friend had brought them up today. When she’d told me that he and Skylar hung out all the time, it’d kinda fucked with me. But what could I do?

I couldn’t believe her. I couldn’t believe any of them. All Redwood did was lie.

While my stomach twisted and turned, I looked back at my laptop and continued to type where I had left off last time. So much had happened since the last chapter, so many bad fucking things. And I didn’t even know where to start.

Somehow, someway, my fingers began gliding across the keyboard. Writing was cathartic for me, an easy way to blow off steam and deal with my problems while not actually dealing with them in real life.

“What’s that?” Blaise asked twenty minutes later.

I snapped my gaze to him, my heart racing inside my chest. “What’s what?”

“The story that you’re working on.”

Before he could read another word of it, I snapped the laptop shut and awkwardly scratched the back of my neck, laughing nervously. “Oh, this? It’s nothing,” I forced out of my mouth.Way to act natural.

“Come on. What is it?” Blaise teased, placing his laptop on the bed and leaning closer, his warmth breathing in my ear and his index finger curling around a strand of my dark hair. “You haven’t stopped typing for, like, the past ten minutes.”

Once I slapped his hand away because it made me nervous, I sat up taller and pretended like his proximity wasn’t affecting me as much as it was. Blaise Harleen made me anxious in the best way possible.

“It’s just … something that I’m working on.”

“I haven’t seen it before. It’s a new story?”

My cheeks flushed. “Um, yeah.”
