She swallowed his moan as Jake dropped to his knees, and the clink of a belt buckle sounded in the quiet night. Cassie speared her fingers into Jake’s long hair and held him close, experiencing him loving on Phoenix from another angle. She kissed their man, and Phoenix’s fingers brushed hers in Jake’s hair, completing the circle.

Phoenix hissed, and Cassie pulled back to watch what Jake was doing. He was on his knees in the gravel, seemingly uncaring of the sharp points, as he reverently held Phoenix’s steely length in his hands and ran his tongue from base to tip. Without breaking eye contact with Phoenix, he hummed and licked at his slit before closing his lips around the head. Phoenix shuddered and thrust gently into Jake’s mouth, slaking his lust with the man who Cassie loved with all her heart. With a hand in Cassie’s hair, Phoenix turned her face and took her lips in a blistering kiss. Pants and moans, grunts and breathy sighs and the three of them reconnected right there in the still of the cold night up in the mountains.

“Come for him, Phoenix. Let Jake taste you,” Cassie whispered, nibbling a line down his throat. She wanted that too, wanted to taste and touch him, and Cassie had to remind herself that they had time. They had to give Phoenix time too. But tonight, they all needed this. She needed to get as close to this man as she could. Being wrapped in his arms and doing something as intimate as kissing him was everything. Jake’s possessive side, the one desperate to show Phoenix what he could have, was determined to make his knees buckle and scramble his brain so that Phoenix would want to keep coming back. But Cassie knew it was more than that too. She knew that Jake intrinsically wanted to show Phoenix how much he cared. He wanted to make him feel better than he ever had before, to look after him and tend to his needs. And if the way Phoenix was holding onto them both, grasping tight without hesitation, was an indicator of how he felt, Cassie knew he needed their touch. He needed reassurance that he was here in the present, andnot buried in painful memories that had almost destroyed him in the past.

Phoenix’s hips jerked, his breath catching, and a gravelly moan sounded from his throat. Cassie captured his lips again and slid her hand down to his balls, cupping them and teasing the wrinkled skin while Jake worked his cock with his hand and that talented mouth. Cassie had never thought this moment would ever be possible again, and she committed it to memory. Phoenix right there in her arms, riding the edge, while Jake took him there. Jake’s moan rumbled up from below, and Phoenix shouted, Cassidy swallowing his cries as his body tensed like a coiled spring. Shudders wracked his body, and he cried out again, thrusting forward and burying himself in Jake’s throat.

When Phoenix pulled back, gasping for breath, Cassie stared at him. Damn, he was beautiful. She wished the moment could have lasted forever, because seeing him like that—open and vulnerable, yet euphoric too—was something that Cassie wanted to do forever.

Tearing her eyes away from Phoenix, she looked down at her man. With glistening lips and glassy eyes, bliss radiated from him. He was incandescent with happiness and that warmed Cassie more than anything. She loved the man more than she could fathom and seeing him happy was the best gift of all. Part of that ecstasy was likely the glow from his orgasm, his fingers still wrapped around his spent cock. His knees would no doubt be feeling it the next day, but Cassie didn’t help him up just yet. Instead, she bent to taste Phoenix on Jake’s lips. The burst of something sweet and salty was addictive, and she wanted more, diving deeper into Jake’s mouth, licking at their combined essence.

“Taste him too,” Jake murmured.

Cassie didn’t hesitate, swiping her tongue across the pearl of glistening cum that had beaded at Phoenix’s slit. Combined with Jake or alone, it didn’t matter. Both were flavours she couldn’t get enough of, and when she closed her lips around the mushroom-shaped head of his now-flaccid cock and swirled her tongue around Phoenix’s slit, his shaft bucked against her. She caught another taste of the heady nectar and hummed.

Phoenix groaned out a laugh. “You two are trying to kill me.”

“It’s not a bad way to go, though, is it?” Jake asked, reaching out to Phoenix to help him stand. Cassie cuddled into Phoenix’s shoulder and steadied Jake as he stood, her own heels wobbling on the uneven surface of the gravel drive. Phoenix looked away and opened his mouth as if to say something, then stopped. Jake’s face fell. “But you’re still unsure about us.” His voice was flat, a dejected tone to it. Disappointment radiated off her boyfriend, and Cassie reached for him, wanting to soothe the hurt. She knew how much he wanted Phoenix to join them, but even after what had unexpectedly happened a moment ago, they needed to give him time. Time to choose them. They couldn’t make the decision for him.

Jake forced a small smile and leaned in to brush a lingering kiss on his cheek. “You should go inside. It’s late and you worked hard tonight.”

Phoenix gripped his shirt, keeping him close. He nuzzled Jake’s cheek as if he couldn’t pull away. “Will I see you again?” Phoenix asked, his forehead pressed to Jake’s shoulder.

“We meant what we said before—you’ve got friends in us, and in our friends. We’re here for you whenever you need us,” Cassie said, intentionally leaving off the part she really wanted to say.

He licked his lips and breathed Jake’s aftershave in—Cassie had done the same many times—adding, “And if I’m ever ready for more?”

Jake didn’t hesitate in his answer. “Then we’ll be here for that too.”

ave you eaten tonight? He smiled at the text from Cassie that had come in about twenty minutes earlier. He was sitting in the break room, trying to summon the energy to get up, but he was exhausted. It was his first day back working the six till midnight shift after doing double shifts three nights in a row. Working nights was fine—he often worked until nearly midnight after a full day in the office anyway. But his body was trained to sleep during the early hours of the morning, and those few doubles had knocked him sideways.

No, but I have a can of soup and Vegemite toast with my name on it.

Give me five minutes…Okay. But five minutes for what precisely? Apparently, he didn’t have long to wait.

“Phoenix, there’s a woman here trying to give me a container of food for you. You better get out here,” Kellie said after sticking her head into the kitchen. A grin split his lips, and he pulled himself out of the chair. Cassie and Jake had kept their words, waiting for him to contact them to take the next step together. But it didn’t mean he hadn’t seen them or spoken to them. Jake had driven him home when his car was stuck in the shop for a second night after the part failed to arrive. They’d also set up a three-way chat, talking about absolutely everything and nothing all at once. Now that he was back at work for the weekend, they’d taken turns delivering meals to him. They were sweet gestures, making it clear that they were thinking about Phoenix but never pressuring him.

He pushed through the door to enter the bar area and leaned his hip against the pass. “Hi, beautiful.” He smiled at Cassie, looking cute and casual in a pair of jeans, thigh-high boots, and a sheer white button-down shirt that revealed a lacy bra Phoenix wanted to peel off with his teeth. The sizzling attraction between them hadn’t lessened any in the time they’d been apart. Phoenix had to fight every urge to say to hell with it and take them both to bed. Both Jake and Cassie had grown more attractive in the years that had passed.

“Hey, sexy.” She held up an insulated bag. “Scalloped potato, roast lamb, and mint gravy.” He lifted the bar pass and stepped forward, taking the bag from her and depositing it on the countertop before slipping his arms around her waist.

“I probably shouldn’t be fraternizing with the members.” He leaned down and kissed her, brushing his lips over hers in a barely-there kiss. “Ask me how much I care.”

Cassie palmed his chest, brushing her thumbs over his pierced nipples and sending sparks of awareness through him. But she shook her head. “Find out whether it’s a problem. If it is, we’ll give up our membership.” He kissed her again then, slipping his tongue between her lips and tasting her sweet mouth.

Reality crashed over him. Was he leading her on? Them? He hadn’t given Jake and Cassie an answer yet. It was unfair of him to kiss her like he had some right to do so. He pulled back and rested his forehead against Cassie’s. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t—”

“It’s okay. I’m the one who shouldn’t be pressuring you.” She smiled gently at him and cupped his cheek. “Go and eat dinner. The sooner you finish your break, the sooner you can get home to sleep. You look exhausted.”

He nodded, a yawn forcing its way out of him. His words were muffled by the hand he held over his mouth. “I am. This weekend has been brutal.”

Cassie’s brow furrowed, and she ran her thumb down his cheek, still holding him tight. “Tell me if this is out of line, but we have an apartment over our garage. It’s not tenanted at the moment, but it is furnished. Jake and I spoke, and we want you to use it if you need to. If you don’t want to drive all the way home tonight—especially being so tired—we only live five minutes away—”
