Nervous energy radiated off him as he strode toward the bedroom and wrapped Adds in his arms. He buried his face in the crook of her neck and reached out for King at the same time. King blanketed his back, holding him tight.

“You’ve got this, hon. I have every faith in you.”

Liam looked up at him and sucked in a deep breath. “My phone chimed but I couldn’t bring myself to check it. My marks are in.”

“Let’s sit down and check them.”

This was it. Months of gruelling work on Liam’s behalf, and King wanted nothing more than for Liam to not only pass, but to get a good mark. He deserved it. King led them to the couch and Liam sat, pulling Adds into his lap. Sitting next to him, one foot under his leg, King sat sideways on the couch. They formed a triangle. Geometrically, they were strong, but it was nothing compared to the strength his boyfriend had displayed getting this far.

Liam pulled out his phone, navigated to the app, and opened the section with his marks. While it was loading, Liam squeezed his eyes closed. Waiting.

King ran his fingers through his hair, cupping Liam’s nape and bringing their lips together. He kissed him, slow and sweet, distracting him from his nerves. They both needed the connection, and King loved the way Liam melted into him. The way he let King take charge and steer him. He trusted King, and that was a privilege that King would never abuse.

“You remember your promise?” Liam asked against King’s lips.

King smile-kissed his lips. “Mmm, I do, and I intend to keep it.” Nuzzling their noses together, he whispered, “Open your eyes, Liam. Look at your marks.”

They did and King’s eyes widened. The mark before him was a D. But not a D for fail. A D for distinction. Liam had achieved over 75 percent in the class. He’d not only passed, he’d aced it. King whooped and Adds threw her arms around Liam’s neck, kissing him all over his face.

The whole time Liam sat there, his mouth open and his eyes wide. He blinked. Looked at each of them. Closed his mouth and re-opened it, trying to say something. But no words came.

King squeezed his nape and Liam melted into him, the familiar move warming King’s heart.

“You did it,” Adds squealed and Liam blinked again, nodding. His face brightened, his perfect lips breaking into a smile that was like the sun cresting the horizon, lighting the dawn sky up in a glow of warmth and promise.

“Third time’s a charm,” King murmured, pressing a kiss to his temple. Liam sucked in a shuddery breath and blinked back the tears on his eyelashes.

“We did it,” he whispered.

“Youdid it.” King squeezed his shoulder, rubbing the tension out of it.

“I couldn’t have done it without you. Without both of you.” Liam dropped his phone, forgotten on his lap as his arms came around them. He squeezed tightly, holding both King and Adds to him.

King admired the man in his arms more than any other. He’d overcome so much. Hit rock bottom and not only had he bounced back, but he was soaring. He was having a brilliant pre-season. He’d finally turned his back on the toxic relationship he had with his parents. He was blossoming in their relationship, was so very giving, and unfurling like a flower in the sunlight when he and Adds touched him, or murmured words of love to him.

Now, he was back on track with his long-term career too. He’d conquered Mt Statistics. Endured the depths of hell to fight through to the other end and come out victorious. He’d done it.

“I’m so proud of you. We both are.” Adds kissed a line along his cheek to his lips and melded their mouths together. King watched in awe as their tongues tangled before they pulled apart and tugged him forward, their lips joining in a messy three-way kiss.

“Let’s move this party to the bedroom. I have a cock to ride,” Liam rumbled with a grin.

“About that—”

The pitiful whine Liam let loose, cutting off King’s words, had him laughing.

“I told you that I was keeping my promise. But first, I have an option to give you.” He slid the mask out of his jacket pocket and passed it to Liam. “Adds and I had a thought. It’s totally up to you to say yes or no to, and it doesn’t have to be for your first time—”

“Yes. Whatever it is, yes.”

“That’s not the way it works, Liam,” Adds cautioned. “We need to explain it to you, then you can give your consent. Only then. There are things you need to think about before you make this decision. You can pull out anytime, even if you agree and then change your mind. It’s not a problem. You won’t be letting anyone down.”

“So tell me then,” he exclaimed, his earlier nerves replaced with excitement.

“I can do a demonstration at The Exchange. You and King could be my volunteers. You could be up on a stage, the whole club looking at you, or you could find a dark corner instead. It’s completely up to you.”

“What are you suggesting?” Liam looked to King, the green sparks in his man’s eyes captivating King.

“I could top you.”
