“Shhh, it’s okay Lo, it’s okay,” I held him tighter, trying to reassure him.

Resting his forehead on mine, his hands cupped my face. There was an unspoken conversation between us now, I knew what he wanted to say, he didn’t need to verbalise it. Taking my hand, he led me out of the room. As we passed the guards in the hall he stopped.

“Tell Mr Lennox it’s done.” Was all Logan said.

Chapter Forty Three – Phoenix

“Yes Dad, I’m sure,” I giggled as I entered the beach house. Stryker’s dad was true to his word. The day after Kyle was taken care off, he sent everything to the police in Australia, and hired one of the best defence lawyers in the country to set my father free. It had taken a little bit, but my dad was finally free.

“I can’t wait until you’re home sweetie,” Dad said, I could hear the emotion in his voice. He’d called every day since his release, to check up on me. I knew it had to be hard coming home to an empty house, and it broke my heart knowing that when I did fly back, I’d have to tell him that I wanted to stay here permanently. “I hate that I’m going to miss your graduation.”

“I know Dad, but I’ll be home in a few weeks.” I tried to reassure him. My last final had been today, and I was looking forward to not having anything to do but relax for the next few months. “Are you sure it’s ok to bring the guys with me?”

After Dad’s release, I had spoken with the guys about spending some of the summer holidays back home in Australia. With everything that we had all been through this past year, we’d all agreed. I think they did mostly to ensure I’d be coming back.

“Yeah, that’s okay sweetie,” I could tell he was uncertain it. He hadn’t taken it too well when I told him about the relationship, but he’d started to come around. “Do you know when you will be here?”

“Yeah, graduation is next week,” I told him, he wasn’t the only one that hated the fact he couldn’t be here for it, but Cillian promised he would record it for u so we could show him when we landed. “We fly out the week after that.”

“Is Damon coming with you guys?” Dad asked.

“No, he’s not,” I sighed. I hadn’t told him, yet that Damon had taken off not long after everything went down. “He has some business here to handle.”

When Paige had failed to surface after finding out about Kyle’s dad, Damon had lost his shit. Everyone suspected there had been something going on between the two of them, so it came as no surprise when he took off after her a few days later, leaving Madden to run the shop and their crew. He checked in every couple of days, and I had my suspicions that Jonah was helping him, but no one said anything. They knew I was worried about my best friend and when I finally did, she her again I’d be chewing her arse for putting us all through this.

“Oh okay, I would have liked to thank him for looking out for you is all.” He sounded disappointed. “Well, it’s getting late her sweetie, I’d better let you go I have an interview tomorrow so I want to prepare for that. Hopefully I get this job.”

“That’s great Dad,” I was happy for him, the job would help him start to feel normal again. “I’m sure you will get to thank Damon, I’m sorry he couldn’t join us. I’ll let you go. Same time tomorrow?”

“Yeah, sweetie same time tomorrow, I love you Phoenix.” The goodbyes were always the hardest for us.

“Love you too Dad.” I told him. Before ending the call.

I could hear the Logan and Jonah in the living room, as I walked further into the house. They had all finished their exams yesterday and had been waiting or me to finish. Stopping just inside of the entrance of the room. I watched; the guys were wrestling about on the couch over the remotes for the PlayStation. Laughing, as they climbed over each other, trying to take the other one out. They looked so carefree, like normal teenagers.

“Heya, if your gonna do that could you at least do it with your shirts off?” I called out to them between giggles.

“Hey beautiful, didn’t hear you come in, been standing there for long,” Logan looked up from where he stood with Jonah in a head lock. I could see the mischievous grin on his face as he gave him a noogie.

“Long enough to wish you weren’t wearing shirts.” I answered as I made my way over to the lounge. “Where’s Stryker?

“Had to go see his father,” Jonah replied, as he pulled me into his arms, kissing me, before letting me go. “How’d your exam go?

“Okay I guess, so glad they are over with.” I said, as I leant up and gave Logan a kiss. “I’m gonna have a shower. Will be back in a few.”

Chapter Forty Four – Phoenix

I knew as soon as the words left my mouth that I would find them waiting for me in my room. Logan had made himself comfortable in my desk chair, and Jonah was sitting on the edge of my bed. Rolling my eyes, I made a start for my closet.

“You guys are s predictable,” I gest, just as Jonah pulls me down into his lap.

“And you, Angel, are a tease.” He murmured into my neck, sending shivers down my spine.

With my towel still wrapped around me, I turned to straddle him. Leaning into him, I pushed him down on my bed, well aware that Logan was seated behind me, watching the scene unfold. Since Kyle’s demise, we had all slowly started to explore our relationship more.

In one quick move, Jonah had flipped me, pinning me to the bed. His hand skated up my inner thigh, skirting at the bottom of the towel before he whipped it open. Leaving me laying there naked and exposed.

“It should be a rule, when we all move in together that you should be naked all the time,” Jonah’s voice was laden with lust as his eyes roamed over my body. “What do you think Lo?”
