Annie looks at me in wonder and then back at Val. “You two are… you’re together?”
I say, “And if you hadn’t jumped out your window and hurt your ankle, that would never have happened. So, um, thank you for being an incorrigible brat, I guess.”
She stares for a second and then Vince and Val burst out laughing. She turns and runs to Val, throwing her arms around him. He stops laughing and holds her. Vince turns to me and says, “Well, I guess we should hug, too, but there’s no way I’m calling you Mom, just so you know.”
I chuckle and we hug. While we do, he says, “Maybe Ma or Mommy. Maybe Mama.”
Finally, the hugging is done and Annie is back by my side. “Aunt Klarice,” she says, “I just want—”
“I told you, Sweetie,” I interrupt. “Three days of peace.”
She shakes her head. “No. I was going to say I want to tell you I think it’s great that you’re with Val. I think he’s great and you’re a lot less of a… Um, you’re happier when he’s around.”
I smile and say, “I’m going to just decide that what you were about to say doesn’t rhyme withwitch.”
She smiles guiltily. “I was going to say… uh, stress monster. There. That’s it.”
Vince says, “Okay. Why don’t you take these two home, Dad? I’ll drive my car home, get Kiara, and we’ll come back and get Klarice’s car.”
“I can drive,” I say.
“The hell you can,” Val says. He looks at Vince. “You and your sister free tonight?”
“If we’re talking about some kind of reward dinner, I think we can free up our schedule.” Annie giggles and I decide her having a crush on Vince is a hell of a lot safer than her having a crush on anyone else.
We file in the car and after Val starts it, Annie asks quietly. “Do you have more kinds?”
“Kinds of what, Honey?” I ask.
“I was asking Val. You can become the big wolf and the werewolf. What else?”
He chuckles and says, “We don’t like the word werewolf. That’s okay, though. The answer is no. You saw all three of me.”
“Does Vince have all three, too?”
“He does,” Val says.
“You know, I’m turning fifteen in just a few weeks,” Annie says.
Val smiles at me and I say, “Annie, that’s three days with no talking about Vince, too.”
She giggles and I see her face in the rear-view mirror. I can see she’s still very shook up. I say, “Well, maybe you can talk about Vince.” She blushes a little and it’s good to see her getting back to normal. Val calls his office as he drives home and tells them he’s taking the rest of the day off. Soon, we’re pulling up to my house and I see Vince and Kiara smiling at waving as they prepare to leave.
“Can I go with them?” Annie asks.
Val smiles and I don’t know if I’m a bad parent but I say, “Okay.”
She leaps out of the car and Val shouts for them to wait for her. As she runs toward them, he says, “They’ll take care of her.”
I nod. “I know. Come inside. Now.”
I’m just pulling my mouth off his cock and kissing the tip, the taste of his semen still on my tongue, as I hear the kids’ voices as they walk from his place to mine. Val says, “Well, I guess I got my reward. Now we’ll take the kids out for theirs.”

It’s still early, remarkably, so we make it a reward lunch for Vince and Kiara. Annie looks at Val like she worships him and looks at Vince like she worships him in an entirely different way. I’m amazed at how easily she accepts them all as shifters and how filled with questions she is. Kiara makes a deal to be my babysitter until she leaves for college and then admits to Val that she wants to go to the junior college in town for two years before going to the four-year college. I can’t help but laugh when she says, “In the secrets department, Dad, that one’s pretty small compared to some that came out today.”
Val shoots me an irritated glance but then he laughs. “Okay. I guess your mom and I will keep the house a little longer for you.”
“Or maybe you just buy Mom out,” Kiara says. You move Klarice and all the kids over. Our house is much bigger and you can finally get around to making that apartment over the garage.”
