“I know. I really like him, but there’s such an age gap, and I’m not anything like the women from his past, Gabs. They are sophisticated, wealthy, gala attending society people. I’m taco trucks and pancake stacks, living with my mom and fresh out of high school.”

I groaned and fell over to my side, still hugging the pillow. “He’s gotta like you, Luna. Has he called or text you?”

“No.” I groaned, “I don’t have his number and he doesn’t have mine. I’m not scheduled to clean his house again until next week.”

Gabby gave me a knowing smirk, “You gonna be able to wait that long to see him?”

“I’m not going to go after him, Gabs. I don’t want him to think I’m clingy and needy. Plus, he probably hates me now that we more or less had hours of foreplay today and didn’t even have sex. He probably thinks I’m a stupid, virgin tease.”

“Hey. If he thinks that, then he’s not worth your time, Lu.”

“There’s more.” I whispered afraid of what Gabby’s response would be.

“What?”

My face felt like it was on fire. How did I tell my sister that he wanted me to be my “daddy”, and that I wnated that too. I groaned and buried my face in my pillow, happiness and fear whirling together deep in my chest.

Gabby laughed and grabbed the pillow next to her playfully hitting me with it, “Come on, don’t leave me hanging like you did him.”

I laughed, “Not cool, Gabs.”

“You can tell me anything, Lu. I went to New York. I doubt there’s anything you can tell me that will shock me.”

I laughed and bit my lower lip like I always did when I was nervous. “I can’t believe I’m telling you this. You have to pinky promise me you won’t tell a soul.”

“Really, are we five?”

“Shut up, you can’t break a pinky promise. We swore we never would break one. They are sacred.” I held up my pinky and waited for my sister to lock hers with mine.

“Fine.”

When our pinky’s twined, I took a deep breath and told her the rest of my secret. “Oliver wants to be my “Daddy,” and when we were fooling around it was really hot thinking of him that way.”

I looked up at Gabby, not sure what to expect her reaction to be, but she just grinned. “My virgin sister is a freak. i’m proud.”

We laughed, and I felt lighter having just talked to my sister about it. I wasn’t sure what the morning would bring, and I had no idea when I would see Oliver again, but the next time I saw him, I was definiately going to jump his bones.

OLIVER

She was late, and i didn’t get her number. I looked at my watch again it was already thirty minutes after when she was supposed to be here, and I was kicking myself for not putting my number into her phone and getting her number from her.

When I got my hands on Little Luna, she was going to be sporting a red ass for sneaking out on me late last night and then for being late today. I wasn’t a patient man when it came to her. If I hadn’t had meetings with the coaches this morning and signing the official contracts with my new team, then a luncheon with the owner.

It was well after two before I got home, and I couldn’t wait to see Luna at six for her next swimming lesson. I’d planned to give her her next lesson skinny dipping, but she wasn’t here for that particularly fun and satisfying activity. I looked at my phone again and only two more minutes had passed since I last checked the time. It was maddening.

I searched Reyes Cleaning Services and hit the call button. Someone picked up on the second ring, “Reyes Cleaning this is, Cat.”

“I’m looking for Luna. She was supposed to be at my house promptly at six.”

“Please hold.” The phone was shuffled around and I heard muffled voices before a familiar one came on the line.

“This is Luna.” I didn’t realize I was holding my breath until I heard her voice on the other end of the line.

“You’re late, Little Sprite. Why?”

I heard her suck in a sharp breath, “Mr. Blake. I’m sorry there must have been a miscommunication.”
