“Hey, Creed! Hey, Simon!” A beautiful blonde woman was drawing with chalk on the driveway of the home next door with her two kids. Her eyes widened when she saw the blood on Creeds and my clothes. “You guys ok?”

“Hey Serena. We’re good.”

“If you want to bring Simon over for a playdate tomorrow with Millie, that would be fine with me.”

“Sure what time?”

“Nine-ish? I think we are taking the girls to the park tomorrow. Simon is more than welcome to join us. You all are welcome to, actually.” She smiled sweetly. She was young and beautiful with long curly blonde hair that most women paid for. If it wasn’t natural, I needed to find out who her stylist was because it looked beautiful. She looked like she could be walking a runway in New York, but she was covered in pink chalk and sweat.

“Sounds good. I need to talk to your husband anyway.” the little girl in a pink poofy tutu smiled brightly,

“Look at my kitty, Cree.” She smiled proudly about the pink swirl of chalk that was a kitty.

“That’s an awesome kitty Millie.”

“Look at my house,” the other girl chimed in to get her share of his praise.

“Great job, Olivia.” He smiled warmly, “You girls have fun. We need to get going. We haven’t eaten yet and we need to clean up.”

“Yeah. Let me know if y’all need anything, and I’ll have Tyson call you to tell you what time we are headed to the park tomorrow.”

“Thanks.”

I gave the woman a small smile, and she gave me a mischievous grin. My stomach was already in knots because of Hemi and now thinking about being here and why he brought me here had butterflies dancing in my stomach too. Were we going to finish what we started in the garage? God knows I wanted him, and the man had a way with kids that just made me want to offer myself up to be his next baby mama. His ex had no fucking clue how good she had it, or maybe she did and knew she didn’t deserve a guy like Creed.

“She seems nice.” I said as he unlocked the door and opened it to let us in. Simon took off running the second the door was open.

“Yeah. The Blake’s are good people. Tyson’s invited me to their next poker night, and Simon likes playing with the girls. The kid’s going to be a heartbreaker.” He said proudly, and I just shook my head and looked around the cozy house. It looked like any generic house would. It was casual and comfortable. Not too masculine or too feminine.

“I’m going to get Simon set up in his room with his toys for a few minutes while we get cleaned up. What do you like on your pizza?”

“Anything is fine. I’m not picky.”

“Cool. So anchovies and pineapple it is.” He reached for his phone to place the order.

“Wait!” I stopped him from dialing, “Ok, so I’m a little picky. No anchovies or pineapple.”

He laughed, “See that wasn’t so hard.”

“What?”

The smoldering look he sent me had goosebumps prickling my skin, “Telling me what you like.” We were no longer talking about pizza. The double entendre was fully loaded and perfectly well aimed at making my body humm with desire.

“I like the normal veggies, or no veggies and all meat.” I licked my lips quickly and his gaze followed the trail with precision focus and another type of hunger.

“The master is upstairs and to the right. I’m going to grab Simon something to eat and hopefully get him down for the night.”

“Ok.”

As I climbed the stairs, I could all but feel his eyes on my ass as I made my way to the second floor landing. I turned to the left and went into the master bedroom, taking stock of the comfortable if not sparse furnishings. Like the downstairs, his room was very neutral and cozy. The only thing that screamed man was the oversized TV that hung on the wall above the dresser. It definitely wasn’t the bachelor pad that I was expecting.

The bathroom had a shower and a huge soaker tub, and I looked at it with longing. I smiled when I saw the box of bath toys and superhero bubble bath sitting on the shelf above it next to some folded towels. Creed may look like a bad boy when you look at him, and maybe he does have some wicked, bad boy tendencies, but once you get past that and get to know him you quickly realize how good a guy he is.

Working side by side with him the last few weeks, how he took things off my hands so that I could handle other important things. The way he was with Hemi, and now watching him interact with Simon and the little girls next door, it all made me fall a little more in love with him.

I froze as I stood in the middle of his bathroom, wondering how the hell it all happened so damn fast. I was attracted to him the first day I met him, but when I hired him, I told myself that nothing could happen because I was his boss. Now, I was standing in his bathroom about to take a shower and wet between my legs.

Putting my growing feelings for him aside, I stripped out of my bloodied clothes and grabbed a folded towel from the rack by the tub and hung it outside the shower. I turned on the hot spray and stepped inside letting the hot water cascade down my body and wash away the stress of the day away.
