“What about George? And don’t say the boys can share. That would be a disaster.”

“Fuck.”

He laughed and hugged me. “I love it when you’re feisty instead of fearful.”

“Humph.”

“Would this be a suitable time to tell you George wants to meet you?”

I fell back and let my body flop back in his arms. “Oh, God! Fine! I’m not ready but I suppose I better break the ice seeing as how he’s going to be here in a little over a week.”

“We’ll FaceTime him now?”

“Okay.” I looked at him sideways. “Is there anything else you’d like to spring on me?”

He held up a finger. “One more thing.”

“Ugh… go ahead.”

“Jace introduced me as his dad to Elisavet and Yanni.”

I stiffened. “What did they say?” This was awkward. They knew Drew well back in the day.

“Elisavet seemed unsure, but Yanni stepped in and smoothed everything over. He shook my hand and welcomed me home.”

“Please tell me there’s nothing else.”

“There’s nothing else. Let’s call George and then I’ll take you to bed.”

“Maybe I’ll take you to bed.”

He nodded and smiled affably. “I’m amenable to that change in plans.”

I guffawed, and Vander pulled out his cell phone.

“Vander, what if he doesn’t like me? What if he blames me for you and his mom splitting up?”

“He and I worked through all that a long time ago. You don’t have anything to worry about.”

“How do you know?” I challenged.

“I just do, and you will, too, if you stop delaying the inevitable. Stop being a wuss.”

“Oh. My. God.” I glared at him. “You think you’re going to get laid after this?”

“Yup, I do. Now stop talking about jumping me when I’m calling my son.”

I pressed my lips together and went to move off his lap. He held me tight. “Vander, it’s not appropriate,” I hissed.

“Yassou, Georgie mou,” he laughed.

I swung around to look at the phone to see a face that looked far too familiar. Vander angled the phone away from me to keep me out of the picture which was the only thing that saved his worthless ass.

“Hey, Dad. Why are you laughing?”

“Ruby is trying to get off my lap and I’m not letting her. She thinks it’s inappropriate to meet you sitting on my lap.”

George laughed out loud. “Fuck, dad. Don’t embarrass her!”
