Everyone nodded and started to move out, Dean checking the corridor for Anderson's Idiots, then waving the others through.

"You're good at this, you know," Rafe said quietly from beside me. "You're going to make a fine Surgeon one day, Mouse."

"So will you, Rafe," I said.

"Nah," he offered, shaking his head and watching everyone disperse. "I'm not a leader, I'm a follower." He looked right at me. "And I'd follow you anywhere, Dr Wylde."

I watched as he left the room, the last one to do so, and then looked around the space to make sure we hadn't left any incriminating evidence.

I wasn't sure if Rafe was right. If Iwasleadership material. But I did know one thing: Anderson wasnotgoing to dismantle RATS and remake it in the image of Parliament.

RATS was mine. And as such, I was prepared to fight to the death to protect it.
