Chapter 26

Camilla

For the next few weeks, Sebastian was extremely depressed. He didn’t want to do anything which included taking a shower.

“Honey, are you okay? Can I do anything for you? What can I do? Do you want me to cook you something or make you something to drink?”

“I would love it if everyone would stop asking me that!”

After that, I left him alone in the room while I slept on the couch.

It took him three days to come out and make breakfast for himself.

“Baby, I’m starting to worry about you. You’re not yourself. Your mom would not want you to live this way. You can’t keep this bottled up inside. It’s not healthy. Please.”

He didn’t respond but I heard the shower kick on which was a step in the right direction. Maybe he would finally transition out of his funk.

“Baby, I’m so sorry for the way I‘ve been acting the last couple of weeks,” He said to me, still wet from the shower.

He pulled me close and kissed me. I had missed him so much. “I was wondering if you would like to move in with me?” he asked.

Move in together? We were living together already, switching between his house and mine.

“If you do, I’ll cook for you, make you smile, and make you happy every day.”

“Let me think about it. It’s a big step. Let me sleep on it.”

IWOKE UP TO THE SMELLof chocolate chip pancakes the morning after we moved all my stuff in. A plate was sitting on the nightstand for me. I put my hair in a ponytail and wrapped myself in the sheets.

How did I get so lucky to have a man that takes the time to do all of this for me? I was a fortunate woman.

I put the last bite of pancakes in my mouth. Sebastian walked into the room.

“You look so beautiful.”
