Liam answers the door,naked.

Completely, totally, unabashedly naked.

Andfuckhe looks good naked.

I clear my throat and force my eyes up from his rather impressive equipment. His abs and chest are just as sculpted and unrealistic looking as his handsome face. It should honestly be illegal to be this attractive without airbrushing. I mean, how is that possible?

He’s grinning at me, a look of expectation in his expression.

“Don’t even think about it,” I say.

“What?” he asks. “You’re the one who came to my room in the middle of the night.”

“It’s nine,” I say. “The party won’t even start for another hour.”

He steps back from the door and gestures for me to enter. I shake my head as I step into his room. I’d rather do this in the hall where there is the possibility of other people being around. Or at least while he has clothes on.

But I’m not here for a social call. I’m here to threaten him and potentially ruin his life.

Or at the very least any chance of friendship with him. Which, I wasn’t sure was entirely possible until we started working on our project. He was a surprisingly diligent student and really could do serious work when needed. And while he was still a flirty asshole most of the time, I had caught some signs of him being a decent person.

All of that was about to go away.

“Are you here to ask me to take you to the party?” He walks into his living room and I realize that there’s only one door in his room. He must not have a roommate like I do.

“No,” I say. “I need to talk to you about something.”

He grabs a pair of jeans off of the couch and steps into them. I’m a little sad that he’s covering himself and instantly feel my face heat at the thought. I am not here for that. No matter how hot he is.

He zips up his jeans then takes a seat on his couch, throwing his arm over the back and taking up most of the space with his legs spread wide.

I roll my eyes. Of course, he’s one of those guys. Deciding sitting is the best course of action to deliver the news I’m about to drop, I perch on the arm of the couch, as far away from him as I can be.

“What did you want to talk about?” he asks. “Please tell me it’s not our research project. ItisSaturday night and we’re not supposed to work on it again till next week.”

“I know,” I say. “And no, it’s not the project.”

He drops his arm and leans closer to me. His expression has shifted and his brow is slightly furrowed. “What is it?”

“I have a favor to ask you and you’re not going to like it,” I say.

He cocks an eyebrow. “Oh?”

I blow out a breath and try to form the words. It’s not an easy task to tell someone you’re going to blackmail them. “I need you to let me win the pass.”

He grins and sits there in silence. Then, his smile fades. “You’re serious?”

I nod.

He laughs. A full, deep, rolling kind of laughter that sounds rather hollow right now.

I watch him, frozen in place, waiting for him to stop.

“Why would I do that?” he asks.
