“Dad, I’m leaving!” I shout.

“With Oliver?” I hear his voice coming from the left corner of the house. I guess he’s in his office. Working again.

“Yeah,” I reply.

“Okay, sweetie! Don’t be back too late!”

“Yeah, sure,” I roll my eyes, slightly annoyed at how it’s okay for him if I hang out with Oliver, but he’s dead set against Damien. I sigh as I close the door behind me.Ridiculous.

Oliver is already waiting outside, leaning against his shiny black Mercedes. He’s wearing black jeans and a tight white top. I have to admit, he looks good. He’s smiling at me, showing off his perfectly white teeth as I approach him.

“Hey, princess,” he says, planting a soft kiss on my cheek. “You look stunning. As always.” He smiles and I melt.

“You too, handsome,” I smile back as he opens the car door for me. “Such a gentleman!” I joke and we chuckle before he follows to the other side of the car.

I’m leaning against the granite countertop in the middle of a vast modern design kitchen, watching. I sink my teeth into my bottom lip as I watch his toned muscles with every move. The rock music playing in the background is thumping as I hear the clinging of the alcohol bottles that Ollie is using to mix the drinks.

“Ready.” He smiles, handing me the drink.

I sip before a murmur escapes my lips, “Mmmm… delicious.”

“It’s my secret recipe for a Sex On The Beach.” He says, grinning.

He keeps watching me as I’m sipping the drink, making me blush. “What? Do I have something on my face?”

“No,” he says softly, staring intensely into my eyes as he takes the glass from my hand and sets it aside. “You’re perfectly fine, Ava.” He steps towards me, sliding his hand around my waist while taking his other hand and gently stroking my lips with his fingers.

I feel my face warming as my lips part involuntarily. The more I spend time with Oliver, the more I’m attracted to him. He’s charming and funny. Handsome. You could say a perfect ‘good boy.’ But here’s the thing. He has all the good boy traits, not being a typical good boy at all. There’s something in his eyes. Something dark. Something I’ve noticed from the very first moment our eyes locked that day on the campus. Something I’m tempted to explore.

“Ava…,” he whispers against my lips, and I close my eyes, ready for a kiss. He tingles his fingers in my hair and closes the final, tiny gap between us with a warm kiss.

“Hi, guys!” A high female voice breaks the moment. “Oh, sorry! We didn’t mean to interrupt you.”Not her again!I roll my eyes and spot Penelope and Damien standing at the kitchen entrance. Damien’s eyes are dark with… jealousy?

He clenches his jaw while looking straight into my eyes so piercingly that icy chills run down my body.

Oliver seems to notice that too because he slides his hand around my waist, pulling my body closer to his while he says, with a huge grin on his face, “You guys have terrible timing.” He jokes but only Penelope laughs. Well, I guess the game has begun…again.

“Ready for movie night?” I ask, trying to escape the rising tension. It’s on the verge of exploding.
