“We should show Cassidy what miracles we’ve done in bed,” Brooke whispers into my ear, draping her long red nails down my chest. “Wanna come over to our place later?”
“Your place?” I ask, slowly stepping back. “You girls are together?”
“Yes,” Cassidy smiles, sliding her hand around Brooke’s waist. “But that doesn’t mean we’re not up for some fun.”
“Why don’t we tempt him a little, Cass?” Brooke winks at me before she turns to her girlfriend and slides her hand at the back of her neck, pulling her in for a luscious kiss.
If this had happened a few weeks ago, I would already be on my way over to their place. However, today, it’s lost all of its appeal. I’m surprised at myself because I’ve never been a monogamist. And I’d never say no to a sinful night with two hot women. Or at least, ever since she’s left. Mallory. But now it’s different. I can’t get Firefly out of my mind.Firefly!
I look around, searching for Avalyne but I can’t spot her. Shit!I promised her I wouldn’t leave her. I wouldn’t let anything happen to her. And now she’s gone. My heart is beating like crazy, and I swear I can feel how the blood is pumping in my veins.
“Damien, are you alright?” Brooke asks, worried, but her voice is muffled.
Firefly. Where are you?I scan the room, but she is nowhere in sight. I swear to God if something happens to her, I’ll never forgive myself.For fuck’s sake, where is she?I run to the main hall, beating myself up that I am so reckless. I should’ve never let her out of my sight. Not even for a second. I should’ve been there by her side the whole damn time like I fucking promised.
“Ava!” Finally, I spot her, but instead of taking a breath of relief, my blood runs cold.
