Fen sucked on the curve where his neck met his shoulder, wanting to mark him, needing other people to know who he belonged to. She'd never felt so possessive of another. She pushed him back on the bed and began to ride him, needing to see him undone by her.

Khan's back arched with every one of her hard thrusts against him. She leaned down to bite and kiss her way over his chest, her tongue and teeth tugging on the golden nipple hoop that drove her crazy.

This fucking man.His magic, his mind, his heart, and kindness…everything about him, she wanted. She yearned to possess and protect every part of him against anything that would hurt him.

Fen didn't know she had admitted it out loud until his hands gripped her ass hard, and he said, "Whatever I am, I'm yours, Fenrys." His words undid her, and she came hard, her hips not stopping as she rode him through her orgasm.

"Fuck, I can feel you coming all over me," Khan moaned. He rolled her onto her back and pulled a leg over his shoulder. Fen cried out at the change of position and the dominance that came into his expression.

"Say you are mine," he commanded. He pounded deep into her, hitting her limit and making her cry out. "Say it, Fen. I need to know I'm not alone in this fucking madness. This dark need."

"I'm yours, Khan. I'm yours." Fen dragged her nails up his sides making him hiss. "I don't care about destinies and the god's machinations for sending me to this place. I found you, and you're mine. I will fight the fucking gods themselves to keep you." Fen's magic flared as she said those words, and Khan's own power reacted to them. It was a threat and vow at once, and they both felt it to their cores.

Fen dropped her leg so she could wrap both of them around his back. She needed him closer, always closer. Khan kissed her, their ragged breaths and sweat-slick bodies moving of their own accord.

"I can feel your magic in me," he panted. "Oh gods, Fen, you're in every part of me."

"I feel it too. I'll keep every part of you safe and treasured," she promised, meeting him thrust for thrust. "Come with me, beloved. I'm so close."

Khan's hand slid between them, and his fingers circled her clit. Her whole body jolted underneath him. He let out a husky laugh. "You're so radiant when you come, even your eyes glow. You really are a wolf.Mywolf."

"Yes," she gasped. Fen could only ride the waves of her pleasure, kiss him as his own release filled her. She clung to him, unable to do anything but sob his name against his skin.

Khan smoothed the sweaty hair back from her face and kissed her tenderly. Fen could feel their magic as tangled up as their bodies, not knowing where she finished, and he began. Khan laid his head against her chest while her fingers stroked his hair.

"I'm never going to be able to let you go, my seiðr," he whispered.

Fen's grip on him tightened. "I'm not going anywhere, my prince."

Thirty-Six

Khan woke with Fen wrapped around his back, her face pressed into the back of his neck. He smiled, fingers stroking the arm she had slung over his waist, and allowed himself a moment of pure contentment. His body was tired in a drowsy, happy way that came with a night spent with a beautiful woman.

Khan slowly untangled himself so he didn't wake her. She was so tousled and sweet-looking in her sleep that he had to fight the urge to wake her up and get inside her again.

He kissed her cheek before getting out of bed and dragging on some clothes. He needed to talk to Sargon. He had plans forming in his mind and would need his grandfather's help.

Khan found Sargon in his usual training place in the gardens. Many things in life would change, but Sargon's routine wasn't one of them. Khan joined him on the grass and picked up a spare training staff.

"You are up suspiciously early," Sargon commented, his movements not faltering.

"There's a lot on my mind."

"After the racket I heard last night, I'm surprised she left you with anything to think with," he said, and Khan groaned.

"Gods, you did not just say that."

"What? You were both obscenely loud." Sargon shot him a teasing grin. "I'm happy that you finally got the courage. She's an incredible woman."

"In more ways than you know," Khan replied. He fell into the training movements and told Sargon about the trip to Ea's temple.

"So, she is a godling. That changes things."

"Does it? She is still Fen."

Sargon made a frustrated sound. "Do you even know the extent of her powers? Does she? Because I highly doubt it. Ea himself came and spoke to her, gave her advice. She has a magi god's blood in her veins."

"She will figure things out in her own time, Sargon. We can't force her to search the depths of herself. Besides, we have other matters to deal with first of a less metaphysical nature."
